Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this unusually-marked C-47A skin.

This C-47A was part of the USAAF's 2nd Air Commando Group, a composite unit of P-51s, L-5s and C-47s.  Based at Kalaikunda in India the 2nd ACG supported the British advance through Burma from late 1944 until the end of the war.

I just saw that pic on facebook and was remarking on how much I like the white markings on it.
