I believe that I started AH in tour 17 or 21, not really sure and it doesnt matter. I must say that this game got me through many a hard time. With a crappy low paying job AH was perfect recreation, daily/nightly. Cant argue with 50 cents a day on a low budget. I made a lot of friends through all my years, different sims, most of which I still consider my friends. Through those years I lost some friends too. Very sad when one of your wingmen passes unexpectedly. Through the years, I always justified expenditures on new stick set or even a new machine, because overall I was saving money, and having a blast in the virtual skies.
Right now, I can not justify that expense to run AH3. Now that I am doing better, not that great but better, I have other toys that I would much rather being playing with (Harley Davidson, jetski, boat etc). Of course, those toys demand a lot of money also. Boat is an acronym if you didnt know, it stands for Break Out Another Thousand or Bend Over And Take it.
My desktop is fine right now and does what I need it to do, without buying a new power supply and card to run a version of the game that I must say I really dont care for. Of course I believe that gameplay has gone way downhill also. As I travel a lot, I dont have much time to play anyway. I am not saying I will never be back, but for now I am throwing in the towell.
Just got off the phone with Rosie. I am payed up until the 17th, if I cancel now I lose those 2 weeks, AH will not pro rate it either.
Of course I will be checking on the boards now and then. Id love to get to Dayton one of these years, also Id love to get up with Irish and go to Oshkosh.
If the game was $30/mo, I would have been gone as soon as 2 ended. Yet, I cant throw 15/mo out the window without even using it.
sooo, Happy skies and Tailwinds fellas,

Translation...
"I don't like the new game so not spending money on it to play anymore".
The real questions should be - what is it that drove him away from the game and what could be done to make him feel justified to stay?
Sorry to see another one go and I too had my issues early on with the game but there has been a huge number of improvements. There are still things that need to change...but that is for another topic.
Sorry to see ya go HB but hopefully some time away will give you the passion to come back again at a later date.
Cheers!

I think he pretty clearly said why he is leaving. He has many other irons in the fire.
