Title: Lock's Spitfire

This is Flt. Lt. Eric Lock's Spitfire Mk Vb of 611 Squadron. Lock was the most successful Allied pilot of the Battle of Britain with 20 kills. He added a further 6 kill to this prior to his death in August 1941, shot down by ground fire while strafing troops and vehicles near Calais. Of his 26 kills 20 were fighters including 18 Me 109s.

I checked the download page to see if there was a 611 Sqn Spit V listed before I began this skin and there wasn't. There is a 611 Squadron Spit Mk I done by Jocko which could be Lock's BoB plane.

Wow the metal shining through the worn paint along the wing fillet looks perfect.  Great job!
