Flying in FSO Germany map the horizontal grid lines are completely missing as are the grid numbers.
There are zero grid lines/numbers in Melee for me.
-
It could be your texture setting is too low. I can't see any grid numbers etc when texture is set to 512 and below.
-
That's exactly what it was, thank you! :aok

I still have this problem and have been running 1024 since the new version. Experimented with the detail sliders in the game and it didn't help. Some maps there is no problem but others it is as Kanth described.
Anyone else still having problems like this?

I just logged on and tested all arenas. Below are the results and basically the same as I posted a while back. I think one of the AKs was having the same problem.

Very strange that different maps show different things?
ARENA=
Open Melee- No lines or numbers at all.
Axis vs Allied- Everything perfect and clear, all lines and numbers fine.
WWI- No lines or numbers at all.
Dueling- No lines or numbers at all.
Training- Lines but sector numbers greyed out and unreadable.
Special Events 1- No vertical lines and no numbers, but horizontal lines present.
-
It is simply the map resolution when you zoom out. If you zoom in with (Insert/delete) keys you should see the lines apear.
Also if you have texture res set low the same issue will happen. The lines are simply being atialiased into the background.

Thanks for the reply. I am running 1024 textures and have been, but I bumped it to 2048 to test. I still get the same problem and zoom makes no difference. I may have some outdated video card drivers? I also have some things turned off and down in game. I will sit down with Morfiend and do some testing.

The Special Event terrains I have been doing the maps up at 2048 resolution (creating the CBM at 2048 by 2048 instead of 1024 x 1024). Are you primarily having the issue with Special Event maps? If so I can take say Egypt and replace the CBM in that to 1024x1024 and see if that makes a difference for you.

Not any certain map that I can tell. I checked them all at 2048 and still the same problem.
Did some more testing and even deleted the video8.cfg file and let it rebuild. I get the same thing.
I am going to download and reinstall the game to see if that helps.

Okay let me update the BMP file that is used for the clip board map for Egypt and see if that has any effect. Will do tonight.
