This Soviet fighter aircraft was made in 1945 and placed into storage after WWII. Purchased in 2010 by HiTech Creations and painstakingly restored to original flying condition. Some historical experts claim there were modifications made to the 72 year old craft, enabling performance well beyond that of the production model. HTC denied the allegations, even after an unauthorized test flight of the plane (shown hovering over Dallas yesterday) prompted the US Air Force to intercept and attempt to destroy the Soviet-marked craft with several AIM-9 air to air missles. No injuries were reported and the apparently undamaged fighter returned to it's home airfield without further incident.
