Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

The Grumman Avenger had a disastrous combat debut at the Battle of Midway. Six of the aircraft from VT-8 were rushed to Midway Island to take part in the battle and were the first aircraft to engage the enemy fleet. Attacking without fighter cover five of the six were shot down while Ensign Albert K. Earnest's badly shot up aircraft managed to limp back to Midway and crash land.

This skin is of Earnest's surviving Avenger.
