Hi All,
I was considering looking at getting the TrackIR 5 unit by Natural Point before eventually making the jump to VR. I noticed it was compatible with AH2 so I am assuming still compatible with AH3?
Additionally I'm wondering if anyone has had any success / tried using OpenTrack / FreeTrack with AH3? I'm considering this as an alternative to TrackIR5 simply due to costs. The software works with the PS3 Eye camera & IR clipon sensors.
Cheers!

I've used Opentrack in the past and had no issues.

I built a free track years ago and it worked well. Im sure the software and hardware will be much better than what I used back then, so even better. Its cheap enough to give you a taste and works well enough that you should get a pretty good taste.
I liked it enough that I bought a TrackIR setup.

I have Trackir 5 and love it. I've had the same thoughts Electroman, start with Trackir, if it doesn't make me sick, then maybe I'll go to VR in the future. I did have some initial frustration and adjustment, but now don't want to fly without it.

TracIr in my opinion, Greatest thing ever! :rock It takes a bit of patience to get it dialed in,well that depends on the person and how they use the software. Some, its just plug and play, which works fine for them. Others, like myself, play with the curves to tweak it into a better set up. I have a few disabilities and this really opened up the game for me! I am still awe struck at the players who only use hat switch views :rock When I get some more time we might just have to have a conversation about the TracIr, more in depth. I will try and get a PM out to you for some more details. Yes... I love it that much!! :x
