Post by: lunatic1 on February 06, 2017, 12:03:57 PM: I don't know all the details but Monday Feb.2nd BW36SSGT said Wizzy died this past weekend... I didna know him personally but he seemed like a nice guy-and a darn good gv'er.

Post by: Zeta on February 06, 2017, 10:18:18 PM: We just lost a very integral player in this game. I'm so sorry to hear this news...and if anyone who is related to Wizzy ever happens upon this page....I want you to know .....most everyone will tell you........he was very much liked here.

Wizzy more than anything loved the Wirb. He was so much fun being near, when a raid would come into a base....He genuinely flipped-out every time he took down a plane....one could not help but laugh while he was doing it....even if it screwed up your own shooting while on defense.

Two guys in this game had ABSOLUTE UNMISTAKABLE voices.... the late great Captain Dell.....and Wizzy. Both laid an indelible mark on me...because they were just great buddies to hang with as we shot our cartoon planes and tanks.

I'm literally shedding a few tears as I type... knowing I won't be hearing Wizzy's laugh or call outs........ever again. Every moment he was here he was having a blast....of that I am certain. I never heard him utter an ill word to anyone here which was something I deeply respected him for.

He was great at being Air Traffic Control while in a vehicle, one of the best. Well, at least he shared kills while Wirbing with me! Its true, I at least got a few Assists! Yes, he will be missed but its hard to feel all that bad for him. He hit the Lotto and skipped out with out sharing. Maybe that is a win that cant be shared, other than by the knowledge those who knew him have, that he was deserving of a honorable discharge. Wizzy Sir, you have served your time in hell...Gods speed :airplane:

Wizzy was a good guy. I am on my fourth year, and due to spudity and arrogance, I failed/refused to learn the fighter game, but Wizzy was kind enough to show me the ropes in GVS. Ironically, Rowdy is the one who got me into the air game in the DA. Both had unique voices and personalities and I wish their respective families the best. :salute

When I first started tanking in AH, it seemed he could always long-range snipe me and I could never find him. When playing on his side, he was always a fun guy to be around.

I'm sorry I missed the impromptu memorial for him. So, while thinking about the things mentioned above today at lunch (and as self-appointed AH poet laureate) I wrote this quick little poem in memory of Wizzy. Hope you like it:

Tiger on the Hill (For Wizzy)

My tracks squeaking, I roll to the fight
From grove to grove, to keep from sight.
BANG! I’m towered. Who got the kill?!
‘Twas Wizzy’s Tiger on the hill.

Out for vengeance, I circle the spawn.
Ping-Ping! What’s that? My wing is gone?
Oh, Wizzy’s Wirble, another skill
Beyond the Tiger on the hill.

Around the camp, with jokes to tell
And a raspy laugh we knew so well.
Someone quick to make us smile
While sniping tanks beyond a mile.

Fondly remember, we always will
Wizzy and his Tiger on the hill.

He was great as traffic control, think he gave more Check sixes than just about anyone, besides LJB. He was hard to get kills with in a Tank or a Wirb. He was the assist generator :x What I will miss is his happy go lucky attitude. I never heard a cross word cross his lips and never recieved a whine Pm from him. His distinct chuckle was intoxicating. I am not saddened though, as I am certain we will meet again.He will be missed and by alot of folk. What a legacy! :rock In a video game no less! Imagine the way those who knew him personally must feel! What a guy. Should be an inspiration for us all. Such character,in more ways than one. We didnt know him personally and he left this mark on us all. Guess its true... Real character is what you do when you think no one is watching! He was definitely of good character.
