Title: Windows 10 is changing as soon as this year
Post by: Chalenge on February 09, 2017, 07:37:12 AM
'Neon,' which is supposedly part of 'Redstone 3' is likely coming later this year.

As usual, Thurrott covers the details we know, so far, better than anyone could:

just curious Chalenge, are you by chance a MSDN member or TECH member or even a member of what they now call Insider's Preview program?

I quit being a beta tester back when Windows 7 went Retail available and dropped my MSDN account , TECH net etc....

but recently decided to get back into it and found that they have different versions of windows 10 enterprise

what got me really excited was "Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB version" ( LTSB = Long term Servicing Branch )

I had started a reply a few months ago to post in one of those other Windows 10 threads, but dumped it because of the back and forth  between members about windows 10 is Great / windows 10 blows, etc...

then I ran across the below Linked article ( I think it was published in Oct. of last year ? )

Windows 10 Without the Cruft: Windows 10 LTSB (Long Term Servicing Branch), Explained
http://www.howtogeek.com/273824/windows-10-without-the-cruft-windows-10-ltsb-explained/

I've only been messing around with the Win 10 Ent LTSB version for just a few months, but this version would be the only version I would use, if we had to up and drop all Older Windows OSes ( XP, Vista, 7, 8.1 etc )
