Failure to clear my field of fire resulted in me Fratting one of his bombers....
Unacceptable, regardless of circumstances...
You can see the "snapshot" which resulted in his death here...(if the link with time doesnt work..11:30 mark sets it up)
I obviously did not see the bombers entering my field of view from the left in real time....focused on the 410 :(

To use appropriate 412th terminology he got Kanthed. But it's easy to do in a tight bomber formation.

Easy to do, but easy to prevent as well. Lack of discipline on my part, i.e. not clearing my field of fire, was causal.

We have a guy...
NOBODY wants to be in front of or near NAVCAD. He kills everything in a radius... Regardless of green or red. He gets really jumpy when he hears an engine close.

Pretty typical that the only time a bomber goes down to a quick snapshot is the only time you're not actively trying to kill it :)

Hopper once took out about a 1/4 of our squad with his bombs. Will never forget his laugh, very leprechaun like. :D
Never forget Bino... wth I just got hit by flack.... then Hop started to laugh..... :rofl :rofl :rofl
I think I still hold the record though! Flying with Daddog way back when got a 9 kill sortie in FSO...2 enemy the rest were friendlies I covered with my taill guns and oh ya the 3 buffs I took out with my bombs..... :rofl :rofl :rofl
Daddog wouldnt let me fly buffs after that....... :headscratch:

As my esteemed squad mate SlipKnoT said, our buddy NAVCAD...yikes watch out! He doesn't miss any enemies, nor friendlies. Bomber and fighter escorts alike :rofl

Just saw your video here after chatting tonight Dobs. Sorry again for the collision. I was looking at the 38 and 17s above you. Sorry for no sound. I had the wrong audio device selected. I think i need to check my recording settings too. Seems kind of blurry.

if it looked blurry it's probably because on playback it auto detected your speed and dropped the resolution down. In settings you can manually set it back to HD (whatever you want). It might "loading...." more though.
I OFTEN forget to change my sound settings over..ugh :cheers:

Ahhhh not so fast sir, years ago the squad u was in (The Blind Bats) were sitting on the runway waiting to roll, when I figured out I was carrying the wrong loadout. Easily fixed, I would just dump the 1000lbr I had on the belly, while sitting on the runway.Well we were immediately in the tower wondering WTH just happened. Of course I played the fool not having a clue what happened.....that is until the kill logs came out :devil Didn't live it down for yrs afterwards

All good! Didn't pick you up till last minute as well. You looked clear on my end as well...and I was the one who pulled up for a shot attempt.
Ended up with oil leak left motor, limped home:)

Ya but yours was an accident!.......... :noid and well I get extra points for form.... :devil IIRC I got credit for 2 enemies,4 friendly buffs with guns and the 3 I dropped bombs on... :rofl
But I have an excuse,I was legally blind not to long ago!

It happens. The escort over the target was amazing! You guys were with us while we were in the scope and with us on the other side of the target. All AK's and 1 49'er obliterated the target and we all landed. Great footage Dobs. I'm going to make a note not to be under the bombers near the target :D. Great job with the escort Allies :salute :cheers:
