Im getting spikes/stutters in my video game play. Im also getting it in off game videos on my browders which is why I posted it here. Its been happening for awhile but I either let it go or it didnt bother me much. Last night I was able to create it by flying into clouds so I backed off on my settings a bit and maybe it helped a little, "maybe" but I still got a stutter.
Im thinking maybe my E3000 Linksys router which is about 5 years old or even more. Maybe my video card. Maybe comcast. I have my box hard wired to my router which is hard wired to comcast. Its not a wireless thing. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks.

Try putting environment map to none. And are you using dx11 or dx9? DX9 is much smoother and graphics are the same with either dx9 or 11 version. Again use dx9 version and set environment map to none inside of the game graphic settings.

I'm getting repeated micro-stutters whenever I zoom in or zoom back out. I have zoom on a slider, but it only does it when I toggle, not when I move the slider. It's enough that when I zoomed in on a target the target blinked out of my kill shot and was halfway off the screen when I came out of the stutter.
I can't recall if I was in DX9 or 11. I think it was 9. I'll check again later.

Thanks I'll try that.

Usually you won't see a variance spike in your connection due to a frame rate issue, so focusing solely at a graphics issue might not be the way to troubleshoot the issue.
What kind of network card are you using? LAN or wireless? Have you tried running a tracert after you see these spikes to see if there is anything going on with your connection to the game servers and back? When was the last time you updated your network card drivers?
-
Well surprisingly going to DX9 and stepping back to 0 worked last night. I thought for sure it was a connection issue, and I have it connected Lan. Thing is I have been at a solid 60 fps no matter what which is why Im surprised. I did update my network driver.
Apparently its a resource issue. Im surprised cause my frame rates and heat settings have been so good. Thanks.

Check your power settings in windows, make sure they are set to gaming/ high performance. That was the cause for similar problems I,was having.

Thanks G. I had considered that but I seem to remember some issue with that before. I'll try it again, its an easy fix. I'll try pumping up graphics tonight and seeing is its indeed that. :salute
