This is a copy of my C drive which is an SSD. Would this be causing resource problems? The symptoms I've been having are blurry ground clutter, minor warping, and difficulty seeing the red icons and even making out what plane it is.
I was think of restoring the drive to original condition and moving all the programs to another computer. Actually just moving the data. The programs are already on the other computer.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Getback, a DX report would be more helpful
Is this a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10? is the OS 32 bit or 64 bit?
Need to see size of SSD and know how much free space is left, and also see the pagefile

Having Quicken (isn't this a intuit software? Pretty sure it is) loaded in the background sure isn't helping
TC
-
Sounds like a resolution problem to me.
-
The SSD will not cause what you are asking about.
A DXDIAG output would be a good start. Yes, any Intuit software is going to cause a lot of bloat.
-
Hope I grabbed enough.

Have you tried disabling the "anti-aliasing" in the "Post Processing" options?

Have you tried disabling the "anti-aliasing" in the "Post Processing" options?
I found all the Anti-aliasing features and turned them all off in the Nvidia control panel.
It seemed better but this was off line. Another issue is my HDMI connected Monitor seems awfully bright. What can I do about that?

Additionally I set the resolution to 2048. I'm not sure if that is resolution. Then I put the HP monitor on gaming mode. The text size is n now 14. Then, finally I lowered the Gamma a hair. Seems better. I will get rid of Quicken from this computer. I have it on another anyway.

Where are the post processing options?
Once in the game, go to graphic options/advanced, and on the swing out you'll see the post lighting and such, turn those off.

Found it. Thanks!
So just disable Post lighting which disable all the below?
-
TC, it's a desktop computer.
-
Where are the post processing options?
From the clipboard: Options->Graphiic Details->Advanced.

Get back---SSD C drive should not matter on the matters bolded and in red from your post.
I find Yellow much easier to see...(except small period of sunrise/sunset where I click back to red usually)

Turn off Anti-Aliasing (IN GAME)..makes the font a little bolder.
Also via the GUI you can change the font size...
Minor warping is connect related--
Blurry ground clutter issue may be due to texture size (set in opening splash screen>Video Settings>)
Set it to Maximum (4096) and see if that helps. Also here is what I have set my graphics (in game to)....

Looks like his GTX 960 only has 2 GB dedicated (even though video memory is showing a total of about 6 GB)
If that's the case, he would be better off using textures size of 2048 or 1024....
Hope this helps

It is only a 2 GB card....
But I know that running max texture in 4k res, it is barely tapping into my (incorrectly reported) memory....
If he could post (Control I to bring up above display) what his is reporting in game it might help.
Skuzzy, care to weigh in?
-
At 4K texture size, you can expect the game it use more than 1GB of video RAM, in many circumstances. Should still fit in 2GB of video RAM, today.
The maximum video memory being reported is a limitation of the particular DirectX call we are using. It is a trade-off in order to be able to report the amount used correctly, which we deemed a higher priority.
-
Got it Skuzzy. Thank you for the info.
-
Thanks everyone! I'll give it a shot. It has already gotten better offline. So we will see.

Should I get rid of the Bluetooth? I run my speakers off that but can run it directly to the computer.
-
Bluetooth is a wireless system with a tendency of trying to find new devices. At least go through the settings and disable the automatic search function. The pumping effect of any background program checking for updates or other changes is often the cause of many hiccups in the game.
If your speakers are the only device you're using on BT and there's the option to wire them, you'd free some resources by entirely disabling it.
-
I'm about to make some changes to my computer and running the wires and removing the Bluetooth device will be one of them.
-
No joy. I'm so tired of fighting the warping. When there's heavy traffic everything warps. When there's not it's still not smooth. I've moved quicken to my other computer and got rid of Bluetooth.
I do have wifi for tv but I'm not watching it and playing. Also on my phone. Is this an issue?

Is your desktop running wifi? If so it could be the issue, try running an ethernet cable from router to desktop!

I restored my desktop to original settings that helped quite a bit. I lose frame rate on deck though.
I now think windows 10 is downloading updates in the background.
The gaming computer is cable connected and the other one is wifi.
So now I'm hoping that it is just the updates causing the issue.
-
Before starting the game, go into Settings and check for updates manually. That way you should be aware of that kind of background activity. Check the update settings and disable the peer-to-peer function to prevent unnecessary use of your connections while gaming.
Further, uninstall the Start menu apps you don't use and set the rest not to show active contents. That's done by right clicking. Also go into the Windows Market and check for updates for the remaining apps.

router congestion.........
its possible the router is holding back bandwidth for wifi devices..?? Even if none in use. cells...........
connect your gamer pc in directly to ISP modem, no router, now play and see.
no joy, disable video settings to minimums, now play and see..........
2 kinds of warpy behavior, bad connects you usually see the others position updates erratically, they scoot and skip. software in background running stupid monitoring stuff or updating.
sound and video each can cause freezes, stutters, that some may call warping.
Theres quite a bit of w10 stuff to disable............
trying to isolate which sector of performance that's lacking is the start.

Thanks folks! I'll take those suggestions very seriously.
I went into task manager and took a bunch of crap out of startup. I also updated my NVidia drivers. I'm not sure if windows 10 had installed their own or not when I restored my computer.
I also switched ISPs and now have 30mbs instead of 6. Not sure if that will help. After all is said and done. It's better but not great.
