have subscriptions increased? stayed the same?
-
Numbers seem to be climbing slowly, but that is only an observation, I have no real data. Seeing more and more names I do NOT recognize so it seems we are getting new subscribers.
-
I has the same observation as Fugitive. Seeing some new names here and there but have no actual data. I wonder if the great data snail has a way to put something together.

HTC does not share their subscription numbers with me. It's an outrage :old:

Definitely climbing.
People are returning after upgrading their systems or checking it out after being gone from AH2.
Keep putting the word out. I mention this game to people at every opportunity. I did a career day thing in Dallas for Jr. High students and even plugged the game there. LOL

It certainly is! And you make such pretty charts too! :D

Can you perhaps go by the number of Kills or Sorties? Surely there would be some correlation.

I track number of scoring pilots and total hours played by them. It just doesn't translate into # of subscriptions, as I can't tell trials from regular subscribers. ;)
-
I would say it has probably gone up. I ignored AH2 until the graphic update to AH3. More people have left Warbirds with the development stagnation there. You guys are not even close to the dire straights there. I tried other games but missed the big arenas. The head to head arenas look like a draw for the War Thunder type crowd. I like what I see so far.

I saw a guy last night (Buff1) whom I last remember seeing playing Air Warrior in 1999 in the Scenario "Longbow". :aok

I have resubbed since Ah3 has came out

While it might not translate into # of subscriptions, I think it's good evidence that numbers are rising, especially over a time period.
-
Well there's more people playing. Some nights dont have the quality of fights others do but even a slow US prime has 180+ playing and often 200+.
-
In my opinion, I've noticed also a number of new players asking for assistance. :rock
Please help them out when you can. :pray

I have seen lots of new names.
The important delicate question that I will ask is...
What is the percentage of colonial and Non Colonial new starters.

Actually, hours played is much more interesting for me as a player, because it almost translates into activity and players online. Subscription numbers are the business side of it. There could be more subscribers (great for HTC) but still less players online (bad for the customer)
That being said, numbers went up with the release, followed by an immediate even larger drop. In the past 2 months the numbers seem to have stabilised, possibly even climbing a tiny bit. But still less than before the release of the new version. But then, after the release of AH2 there was a much larger drop in numbers and it took AH a long time to get back to pre release levels.
-
More players for sure. Interesting though many of these new names play like AH veterans.
-
I came back after four years off in September

My guess is that more players are returning than we are seeing brand new players to the game as a whole. Either way, it means for more action for everyone.
And yes, please be *that guy* and help a new player out wherever possible.

I have been running across more new players.

I've seen lots of people from Pomerania, the Seleucid Empire, and the Achaean League.

I've seen a lot of new players and old players returning-for a lot of them from what I've read and heard-it was a matter of being able to upgrade their computers most Friday and Saturday prime times over 200 players-of course on Friday nights it's because of FSO.

This was definitely a big thing holding a lot of people from making the jump to AH3.

Well played! :old:

I wondered the same thing, are the numbers growing? After the offical announcement that AH3 was open and AH2 access was removed, every Saturday evening during my Sqauads playing time I recorded the numbers from the Arena counts and Rosters in the main arena for 4 hours recording in a spread sheet the numbers presented, recorded every 30 minutes for the 4 hours that we play. The short answer is Yes over all numbers were up, however, they appear to have leveled off and for the past few weeks declined. originally I recorded an mean average of 150 players on Saturday evenings between 7PM and 11PM EST. that average climbed and maxed out at 196 players however for the month of February so far has only averaged 180 players. I never recorded numbers over 200. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it just wasn't present when I recorded the number for my spread sheet. Numbers may be far higher any other day of the week. I don't know. My squad has stopped playing in all arenas except the main and we only play on Saturday evening. Because the numbers are low, night in the game appears to have a major impact on the numbers and the numbers do not seem to recover that evening even when daylight returns to the arena.

I always thought when I retired I'd be able to play more but when you get older you just cant concentrate for hours on end. I played much more when I started, I'm maybe good for one or two hours at a time now. Maybe less.

i rejoined after upgrading my system, just havent had a chance to really play a whole lot yet
