All this fussing over three panels being hid behind the clipboard.  HiTech said there was a fourth one, but I cannot find it yet.

Yes, it seems to me that a smart entity would wish to please its customers for the customers are the ones that sustain you. The question is what will HiTech do?

It seems to me that a few people complain about the smallest of changes and then demand that it be changed back to how it was or be provided an option to undo the change.

It's a small change that doesn't change the way the game is played. Quit your complaining.

First rule in Customer Service...

The customer is rarely ever right...

I actually had an owner (my boss) tell me that.  He is right.  He retired at age 40...

The change was not just do to vr.

I have a feeling most people complaining do not run transparent windows for the radio/msg and voice box dialogs.

The reason it was changed is that when those windows were transparent, you could not see that they were blocking the clip board menu or other spot from functioning.

So wait let me get this right you are saying that it's not a good idea to make your customers happy? Poor customer service has been proven to be a bad idea.

As for your boss. I'm guessing he was forced out for poor performance.

"The customer is rarely ever right"

If I had a rep making a statement like that I would fire his bellybutton on the spot! That's a sign of a poor attitude. I don't want combative reps dealing with my most important asset. My customers. I want equitable resolution and happy customers happy customers are return customers. More happy customers equals more revenue. More revenue equals success.

It is an annoyance for me but nothing I cannot work through.  My personal opinion is that there was nothing wrong with the way it was before and now there is something wrong with it but, as I said, I can get over it.

I do not like the change but I know the attitude of HTC well enough to know my opinion will not matter so I just get on with it.

agreed, I just finally noticed the issue tonight, but it wasn't nothing I knew how to fix and get around to begin with!

and yes, I was one of those that use the transparencey ability... but I dealt with it, so is a none issue now

As a wise man once said, "Sometimes you just have to fire the customer!"

It isn't about the customer being right or not, its hitech's vision vs detractors.

Making sense of ideas and code and putting it into a form that fits the vision of experience is what it is all about.

HT has a lot of desire (more then most, probably eccentric) to put into form and generally any other input comes from a less focused or worked out place.

Some just have more order to make reality then others.

Lefty you seem to believe that thinking "the customer is not always right", and doing your best to make the customer happy are mutually exclusive.

And just to prove a point.

In this thread I have one customer who thinks the customer is not always right, and another who thinks they always are.

So obviously one of the customers is not right, and hence just proved the point.

ROFL!!!   Wrong!  He is happily retired living off the income he started in his business.  I am saying it is a good idea to stick with a business model if it is working to meet the goals set.  Not a customer's right to intrude.  All those years of being successful to this point.  Why would anyone listen to our advice if they made it this far without us already?

Blokes who talk about emotions and moisturiser!

1998 I was sitting at my desk with my laptop, PDA, and cell phone in front of me hating them. The VP's assistant once again had asked me why her PDA could not call her laptop and her cell phone, then send a file to her VP when he was in a meeting on the other coast. Looking at them it was obvious that you could eliminate the PDA by including the cell phone FM chip in the laptop. Who would want to hold a laptop up to their head to have a conversation....it was a funny image at the time. I kept running into executives who wanted to know why their cell phone couldn't do what their laptop did for them. And I kept thinking how much easier my life would be if the "Compaq flat panel\slide out keyboard" attached to the server racks to access the servers was a detached tablet with WiFi.

People wish for a winged unicorn when what they need is always spoken without thinking about it when they tell each other about the trials and tribulations of their day. That doesn't mean what they need is even a good thing. Look at the socialization issues our first total techno\internet generation has in face to face interactions since Jobs saw the need versus the tech fad with the smart phone\tablet.

Apple didn't invent tablets or smartphones, wasn't the first company to come out with them, and had some flops before coming out with successful versions.

Once they got it all worked out in next versions, however, they obviously nailed it, had awesome judgement and execution, and gathered up enormous market share.

Mainly they just had a huge marketing division. They nailed the marketing and that was their success.

I must have missed something. I have been away this month, but I don't get this. I read EVERY line in this post and don't get what the problem is :noid ok it's clipboard and panels   like radio text and other panels? Such as those you can drag to diffrent locations from the gui options screen? Or has it changed since Feb 27 2017? Just wondering what all the hub ubb is about, no one actually specified what the "problem was" I did read a comment on a new user's post on help page, that stated that no icons showed if your bases radar was down :x from an long time player too. So maybe a misunderstanding or misconception on how to adjust a setting? Don't know, it's not described, so could be....just saying
