Since the events of last November,< :aok
I have been waiting to make a couple firearm purchases,
halfway expecting the prices to drop a little.
My acquisition targets:
Springfield XD Type2 5" Tactical, 9mm.
Ruger Mk4 .22 Target model, bull barrel, black finish.
Some news is saying that a few Manufacturers are laying
off employees, because of a drop in orders. Namely
Remington and S&W.
Other news sources are saying that numbers of Federal
background checks are holding steady, at near record #'s.
We are 4 months in, after the epic November events,
I have been watching the prices carefully, not seeing any
shift downward yet. Actually creeping upward a bit, :cry
Anyone else noticing any price trends, up or down?

Surplus ammo seems to be coming down in price. Russian Import bans still effecting my ideal gun purchases.
That's about all I can really tell you. :D

I've not noticed any significant drop except that lowers and 80% lowers have done back down compared to pre-Election prices.
I did notice that the S&W MP Shield came down significantly. I bought my oldest son a 9mm Shield for his 21st birthday, $339 with shipping.

I dont think the .22 will come off their price but the XD can be purchased for around the $400 mark.
I have been buying high end revolvers but might pick up a 6.5 AR because the prices are so low. I did trade a glock 34 open gun for a circle 10 9mm AR which the guy couldn't sale for months. Market is flooded with black pistol and rifles so i am going chrome or stainless.

Surplus Ammo, have been to their retail store, bought a case of Brass NATO x51 last summer. Downtown Tacoma WA, about 2 short blocks from Aero Precision too. And the infamous Bullseye Shooters Supply, where the DC snipers bought their weapons, is right there in that small area.
Yep, there has been a glut of AR rifles and pistols on the market since last summer. An ongoing situation, that is not really respective of the rest of the gun market. Strange that so many big name companies are jumping into the bargain AR market this late in the game. Right now an AR can be found cheaper than an AK, LOL!
Some of my sources that I price monitor, other than gunbroker:
Buds Guns
Impact Guns
Atlantic
Gunnies
Centerfire
J&G Sales
Academy
Legion USA

I haven't been to a gun store or show in awhile but I have purchased two pistols in the last month for dirt cheap. Picked up a Taurus 9mm for $200 and a high point 45 for $125. Of course now I have spent my gun show money that was earmarked for an Enfield.303

Btw i have two rugers MkI/hunter, buckmark 5 inch, SW 41 and SW victory. I would look into a victory because they are the most simple to clean. Everything except the 41 are all around the same price point.

I currently have a 70's era MK2, and vintage Colt Huntsman .22 auto pistols.
Just updating!
I prefer the Ruger, because of the rigid barrel/receiver connection.
The new MK4 has the standard auto pistol controls, mag release, bolt catch,
and safety, all in the customary positions.
And the MK4 has a new takedown button, so the upper shotguns like an AR15. Sweet! :aok

Gun shows around here are absolutely useless unless you're looking for old guns. Other than that all the local gun shops set up their booth and mark everything up 30%

AR10 type rifle, for $525 shipped? :headscratch:
Very curious, what manufacturer? Home built? Used? (oh you said brand new)
I know there is an AR glut, but that is WAY below the market, even now.
I have a S&W M&P10, Magpul edition, OD green.
Bought it 2 yrs ago, Cost me $1350 + FFL + Tax.
Worth every penny, I call it my "Magic Rifle", because it shoots so well. :D
Slickguns, I'll add them to my watch list.
