I'd like a slider to adjust the shadow darkness. I know we can adjust gamma, I'm talking about adjusting only the darkness of the shadows when enabled.
I love the shadows and want to keep them on, but I can't see my gauges half the time. If I could see them better, I could finally shut off the loathed alt/ias HUD.
I cant stand the HUD. The only reason I keep it on is because I can't see the gauges when they are in a shadow.
It would be wicked awesome to have a slider to adjust shadow intensity.

Why not adapt some variation of a HUD in use?

Find the image you want, right click it and click "Copy Image Location" (using firefox) then come to the forums and click the image button, below the B bold button, and then paste the image location between the image tags.

Or make an option to turn cockpit shadows off, and leave outside shadows on.
No HUD please...that is for jet games.

Dobs, I personally find the HUD distracting myself but AH has seen fit to include it. I dont think its a bad idea because it helps even out the game, with some pilots using HAT switches and others Tracker IR and now VR. The HUD would give the players using HAT switches a little help in managing their engagement.

I use HAT...look at window and feel the aircraft for A/S and Altitude:)

As I said "with some pilots". It's not a argument. Just another venue for some pilots to quickly access critical information without looking in the flight deck which some aircraft dashes are not very ergonomical.
I personally don't see how this can hurt the game, but on the contrary help even it out.
