Problem: Players stayed logged in overnight so if the map is won they can get the perk points. In the morning (E.S.T.) the players actually playing are denied options from a high ENY. There might be 20 players logged in and only 8 actually flying. This creates an unfair disadvantage.
Solution: Is it possible to put players that are logged in and in the tower for an extended time into a waiting room? Players in the waiting room would not affect the ENY and will not acquire perk points if the map is won. A time limit would be established for being in the tower then moved to waiting room.
Not sure if this is possible but it sure is annoying when players stay logged in overnight just to get perk points.
Great game HiTeck, lots of fun!

I'd love to see after an hour of inactivity you are automatically moved to the lobby. Granted people will just go sit in a manned gun or in a vehicle on the field to avoid it.

I'm pretty sure you get the perks whether you're logged in or not. It would be kind of dumb to force players to remain logged in 24x7 just to get 25 perkies, since you never know when the map will get won. The only requirement would be that you have been on the winning side for the requisite time, which I believe is currently 12 hours.

If a player is inactive after x period of time...
I mean....duh.

Hands on buzzerz........(loud klaxon sound)
NO you must be logged in to get war win perkies.

It used to be that way a really long time ago. But nowadays you absolutely have to be present the moment the war is one. Else - no perks for you.
-
ENY will never take into a account the players skill , a good stick can fly any plane to victory. and a hoard is hoard which is tough to stop and ENY never has.

Well, that's dumb. If the effect on ENY is so bothersome to so many people because there is a large number of players who HAVE to get the small amount of perk points that they stay logged in all the time, it's a detriment to the game. Either get rid of the war-win perks, or give them to everyone on the winning side whether they are logged in or not.
I personally think the war-win perks are not necessary. Earn them by fighting and killing stuff. That should be reward enough.

if you are logged in and in the tower or active, if your sides wins you get the perkies. always been like that.. I've been playing for ten years and you have always had to be logged on to receive perkies

I wonder if some people are just too lazy to logout or afraid they cannot remember their password.
I know I have heard people go afk to take the dog out, get a drink and go eat supper. I think too maybe company shows up or a task comes up and players are gone much longer than they think.
-
I think people are just slaves to the almighty perk points. Like access to a perked ride magically makes them better at the game. ;)

And that's usually the guy sitting by the map room with troops. :O

I just don't think so. Well, maybe a few players

Then why would so many stay logged in just so they get them if the map is won? There must be a lot of these players to cause such a rash of complaints about it affecting the ENY.

It doesn't take that many to affect ENY quite a bit when numbers are low. Unfortunately anything they do is so easily circumvented I can understand why they don't bother. Although I'd be curious to see how many of them are intentional waiting for perks vs people who got sidetracked. Every once in a while I don't log out because I think I'll be back in ten and get sidetracked overnight.
