My only child is based 170 miles away. Please keep him and all out troops in your prayers. My wife is hysterical at work right now and I'm trying to calm her down but we just shot 60 cruise missiles at a Syrian base the Russians are protecting and that just nerve gassed a bunch of children.

This has the potential for serious escalation.

April 6, 1917 - USA enters WW1.

100 years later

April 6, 2017 -  I hope not again?!

"Strifes will arise through the period. Watch for them near Davis Strait in the attempts there for the keeping of the life line to a land open. Watch for them in Libya and in Egypt, in Ankara and in Syria, through the straits about those areas above Australia, in the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf.” Edgar Cayce about WW3   April 28, 1941

I stand behind my country to stand up for children and innocent civilians who get killed by terrorism. What we saw 3 days ago was dispicable.

I would not put much stock into anything said at 11:45pm on a Friday night in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  People see little green men around those times too.

There are 156 sirens in Dallas.  Only a portion of them went off suggesting an error or a maintenance test.  They do that periodically.  Never has been a problem before.

The plants down here along the ship channel run their test the first Wednesday of every month. All the sirens sound and voice alert commands over loud speaker.

Don't be so quick to give in to fear. Stay calm, and think rationally. Trust me, if Russia launched any ICBMs, they would be intercepted before the reached any coast or border of the contiguous United States, and the entire world would be moving to counter.

As for Syria, it's a lose-lose situation. We should tolerate neither the atrocities committed by isis, nor the atrocities committed by the Syrian government. Civilians die in warfare, it's unavoidable. But chemical weapons are forbidden, and the civilians caught in the mix were preventable losses.

Its okay to be worried, but dont be scared. Don't let terror control your emotions, and thus your lives.. or else those that seek to cause terror, win.

ISIS claims responsibility for the bombs in Egypt.

I am 110% confident Assad did not use the chemical weapons. It was a false flag designed to get the US to hinder Assad, to the advantage of ISIS. The New York Times published a story back in November, noting several dozen times ISIS has used what few chemical weapons they have.

My best guess is that Syria and Russia don't bite, only act to protect themselves and continue to prosecute their attacks on ISIS. With Iraqi forces chocking ISIS on the East (backed by both the US and Iran) and Syria/Russia advancing on ISIS on the West, ISIS may be about dead. Saudi Arabia is the primary backer of ISIS. It will be interesting to see next steps.

Rich, prayers to you and yours, and everyone in harms way.

boo

PS The alarms in Dallas, hacked by someone with prints from Russia. That sounds like a pretty serious warning. Russia has a Strategic Imperative I Syria. This is all about a natural gas pipeline into Southern Europe, from Israel and Saudi Arabia. If successful the Russian economy, and leverage over Europe disappears. This is much, much bigger than simple gas and ISIS.

First thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my kid and all our troops there.

Nobodys worried about ICBMs and if THAT happens you'll have no time to worry. The worry is that this bunch likes to use 3rd party client groups, terrorist groups, to fight their wars and to protect their deniability. LMAO if Russia launched their ICBMs 90%+ would get thru and all we could do is launch ours back. OUR SDI is designed for one or a few missiles from a rouge nation and it would probably fail to even stop them. The Russians have thousands with sophisticated delivery systems and decoys, as do we. Theres nothing we could do to stop them so excuse me if I dont "trust you" on this, Ive studied the INTL strategic postures since the days I protected it.   http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-missile-defense-20140615-story.html (http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-missile-defense-20140615-story.html) And you have no idea what your talking about.

For Syria its more like a "nothing to lose" situation. I'm sure its going thru Assad's mind right now that the last two secular leaders in the Arab world deposed were also the last two that gave up their chem/bio arsenals, Qadaffi and Saddam. Saddam was so terrified of not having them he wouldnt even admit he destroyed them.

Any American or Russian with 1/2 a brain should be concerned about us getting into a shooting war with each other. Regional atrocities alone aren't a good enough reason cause I couldnt begin to count the ones they have inflicted on each other even since I spent 18 mos there in the '70s. You take an oath to defend America and the Constitution, not to play World cop and take sides in the latest Middle East civil war amongst terror groups.

You think we'd have learned that by now.

No oops.  We have a lot of friends in Dallas who did not hear a thing while others did.  Looking at the map,  we know people who live about 200 yards from one of the sirens and they did not hear anything.

Regardless of how many of them went off, I have to giggle at how the press is spinning it and all the drama being created by the incident.

I am unaware that NK has subs with that sort of range. I would reckon the sub to be Russian, nuclear sub does not necessarily mean SSBN, so I wouldn't get to worked up about it.

Watching the news,  i believe Ed Dames remote viewings could be accurate again.

Joel Skousen believes NK is to be used to trigger ww3, mentioned in his book "Strategic relocation" .

I remember watching dr.Bruce Bueno de Mesquita on history, mathematically predicted a conflict with N.K would inevitably slide into a direct nuclear war USA vs China.

.. @time 28:00, but the entire documentary is interesting.

LoL

Missiles being "shot down" will be irrelevant as if even two dozen weapons got through, they would destroy the US military command structure and most of the major cities. The resulting radioactive fallout, massive firestorms and the degrading of the food logistics structure in the United States would kill tens of millions of those who weren't killed outright in the initial attack. Any missile defense system would only be "useful" if it survived the initial attack and could be used to target any later attempts at strikes by the Russians.

Trust me, if Russia launched any ICBMs, they would be intercepted before the reached any coast or border of the contiguous United States, and the entire world would be moving to counter.

The U.S. ABM shield is designed to take out a single or very low number of warheads launched by rogue entities. There is no way to stop a massive attack from Russia. Russia has a total fleet of around 400 land-based ICBMs with around 1100 nuclear warheads, plus approximately 512 warheads on SLBMs. In the space of half an hour Russia could destroy the entire world.

In the last few years the Russians have been very busy testing their missile systems. And unlike the western nations Russia has actively developed new ICBMs and warheads since the end of the Cold War. The RS-28 "Satan II" is scheduled to enter service next year. With its 16 warheads it can devastate an area the size of Texas.
