What is it they're building in the hangar, and when will they ever be finished?
Thanks!

They are straightening out all the bent airframes I bring back!

:rofl :aok
One of the noises reminds me of someone replacing a man hole cover.

Repair work for Cybro's next trip--to nowhere.

Not to mention my bent propellers!

They are using a saw for some purpose. Anyway, I find the sounds annoying. I would suggest, delete them or change to something else.

I will defend the rooster and the dog.

Would they be less annoying if they were lowered volume, and maybe less noticeable? (for example the dragging and clang of some metal object is pretty noticeable) Maybe include some muffled voices, or medium-distance airplane flyby, maybe a truck or jeep driving past the hangar?
Best option I think would be to have the volume for this effect settable by the player.
I wonder where the soundpack guys went? Mitsu, TwinBoom, Ranger, and I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody great.

Clipboard>Preferences>Game Sounds>Advanced: The Environment slider controls the "ambient workshop sounds".
As for the soundpack guys, I've read somewhere that at least some of them are working on new packs. However, that is not as simple as it was for AH1 and 2 where you could use any .wav file for any sound. We used to do personalized check-six messages for each other, all you needed was the headset microphone and the built-in Windows Sound Recorder. FMOD is much more complicated, as you can read in http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,377219.msg5023772.html#msg5023772 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,377219.msg5023772.html#msg5023772). Getting the start music changed was so much of an effort that I didn't feel like redoing it when it changed back to the original by the transition to the final version.

The hangar noises don't bother me at all. Leave 'em alone.
-
its weird how some one doing nothing is so annoying, but it is. Keep the hanger sounds and delete cybro.

Ideas for new hanger sounds :)
1. Raccoon making noise then running into something that knocks over a bunch of stuff.
2. The birds from this years Masters tournament in Augusta, GA. (Go Sergio!)
3. Some type of interrogation noise in the background consisting of people yelling both demanding answers and a single voice pleading for their life.
4. Forward operating bases have distant artillery booms in the background :devil
Just for fun

They're working on my 190A3

Keep the hangar noise if you must but... I sure wish I could turn down/off the belly scrape/ditch sound.

Never makes that noise if you put the gear down. :devil

+1 for LocoMoto. I don't spend that much time in the hangar, but those particular sounds are annoying.
-
could be mine as well, when landing last night forgot to put my gear down. when I landed I about jumped out of the chair as I thought I was being vulched. though I never heard the warning buzzer "pull up pull up" or "check gear cheack gear" :x :x

Is it just me? I can't scroll at all on the Advanced tab for the Sounds menu. Are we simply limited with what we can adjust compared to AH2?
-
they are building supply trucks and trains that were destroyed in AH2
-
The sounds in the hangar are a good start, but not quite believable because of the absence of cursing mechanics. I spent 24 years in the USAF as an aircraft mechanic and I assure you that no aircraft mechanic worth his salt EVER dropped his wrench and not follow through with foul mouth act of linguistic balance raised to an art form to show his frustration.

Officer's club has the best sounds.

No it's not just you. The same was asked way back during Alpha and Beta. For some reason there's a short scroll bar indicating there would be much more, but there isn't. The bar does nothing, it's just an image of a bar.

Thank you for explaining the riddle. :salute
