I wish for increased depression angle on the 17 lber anti-tank guns.
For example, the one next to the spawn hanger of the hilly vehicle base literally has no shot on anything at all. It is on a rise and all nearby spots for enemy tanks to show up are below the travel of the gun. You can drive right up to it with impunity. This is true to a lesser extent to many other 17 lbers (if you pick the proper approach path).

And give the gunner the ability to actually look around. If necessary, by adding a 'commander' crew position.

....but make it so you can only shoot from the gunners spot. I think ALL guns GVs included should be set this way. Shooting for anything other than the gunners view (F3, commanders view and so on) should be disabled just like it is in fighters.

Ie, 95% less main-gunning at planes :D

Yes. Yes.
And cut down the trees that obstruct the view from the guns.
-
Also an ability to look around like a commanders position.....I know it has been asked for time and again
It's quite a thing traversing when you can hear the gv is close behind or to the side of you....am I gonna make.. :rofl

+1 on all accounts.

Is it not meeting this specification for the Ordnance QF 17-pounder?
Elevation: -6° to +16.5°

No. Offline in external view I measured 0.94 degree of depression (i.e. about 0.9 to 1.0 degree given the error possibilities of the measurement).

+1 to all positive requests

You are a badddd man. Now I need to find a manual for it to see how the azimuth movement is accomplished.

In the video there is a sequence where the gun has the ability to partially pivot somewhat independent to the locked wheel base.
Clearly rotation speed in AHIII is now in question. :devil
There is also some slew left to right via a hand crank just for the gun, independent to the above mentioned ability to partially rotate the gun base. All of this without the wheels ever moving :aok

This video says it had 60 degrees of traverse.

On vehicle fields, manned 17's are almost useless. Can't point down towards ground targets close by, anywhere off base is shrouded by trees...
-
Hell, I'm always depressed when I'm in a 17 pounder.... :bolt:

The main defense for anti tank guns is low profile and concealment, Putting the up on berms is as poor design as having trees blocking guns line of fire,,,It would never happen in reality....
