I saw that there was another thread on this, but I didn't see the answer there and it didn't look like exactly the same issue.
I've been playing the game for an uncountable amount of years. Today I received a message when trying to launch the online arena that read, "If you are using a firewall such as Zone Alarm....." It eventually timed out and the Alt Route didn't work.
I haven't changed any firewall or internet settings, why would I suddenly be getting this message?

Check that. I think I remember a Windows update the last time I fired up my gaming rig. Maybe something changed there.

It looks like there is an issue with the server that validates your account when you try to log on. If that server is down you cant log in. No body can.

I am getting the same messege even when I shut off the firewall whats up????

I can't login either. I was notified by Win 10 that some updates were applied. "Me thinks that could have something to do with it !" Gonna try a restart and retry AH. :bhead

The message is due to the game not being able to contact the account server. It is back up now.

We will be closing our office at approximately noon today, CST in observance of the 18th anniversary of the founding of HiTech Creations, Inc.
