So I was fiddling with something--for <cough :D > work uses... yeah work--and I decided to test it out by creating an Aces High III Cost/Hours Played Calculator (https://jscalc.io/calc/F3XlVrvmLhBafTrv).
Personally, I've grown tired of explaining the concept of the amortized cost of fun in AH to those who only know/care about the freemium/pay-to-win type of game. To me, when amortized over average hours played, the sub fee becomes trivial and that real numbers are better than words. So, just for fun, I made this.
Do YOU want to know what your hourly cost to play AH is?. Click the link and the calculator opens in its own page. Then slide the Average Hours of Play... slider to your average number of hours spent in AH per month. The results appear in a mini-table to the right or below (depends on your device): Aces High III Cost/Hours Played Calculator (https://jscalc.io/calc/F3XlVrvmLhBafTrv)
If you like it, feel free to share it.

I think you have two options, Zoney. :neener: One is to play that other game, whose initials are WT. Or, you (continue to?) play AH for 149.50 hours or more per month, in which case, you'll really be a winner! :joystick:

For the real cost you should have included:
- cost of specific equipment
- loss of health
- cost of divorce

- cost of divorce ---
That one would be hard to calculate. Young couples may be more prone to divorce due to something coming between them, but then again they don't have fortunes to share. Older couples may have more wealth but after a couple of decades the other party may welcome the mental absence of the playing one, allowing her/him some personal space and quality time by her-/himself.

The cost of beer consumed while playing AH completely marginalizes the monthly fee.
On the other hand, who am I kidding? I'd be boozing anyway...

So AH cost me half my stuff?
