Title: 109-G10
Post by: lyric1 on April 19, 2017, 01:58:28 AM
We have one from this group already in the K4 list thought I would throw it out there for another.
Facebook has been very helpful of late for finding stuff.  :aok

Not convinced that is just one colour on top, there are subtle colour changes visible in front of and behind the open engine cover and also through the centre of the fuselage cross.

There are a number of G-10's that I'm considering skinning, Yellow 5 is indeed one of them.

I love the look of the overall dark green as well as the Jg 300 tail band. I was either going to do Yellow 5 above or Green 7 here

I also really like Red 5 from Jg 300 and Black (maybe Blue) 22 from Jg 52 from this sheet.

I see what you mean, Greebo. But I agree more with the profile artist's assertion that the variation is more a result of weathering or uneven paint application.

The contrast is too low to be the usual underside colors on the sides. It could be RLM 02 primer if it is indeed a different color.

All green Erla built G-10's are known to have been documented on other airframes as well.

It's possible, but Jg 300 is known to have used green numbers for some staffels at the time and yellow numbers outlined in white are very, very rare. I'd skin it as green.
