I tell ya, Cybro is a psychology student fulfilling his internship by documenting the paranoid delusions of an online gaming community.
He's probably got enough to ace his doctorate, at this point.

I then decide to go in closer and investigate what was going on...I found this....
Odd that he needed a drop tank just to taxi off the field and into the forest isn't it? OR is the tank filled with personal lubricant that he uses to combat the boredom that comes with sitting alone in a plane in the forest for hours?

Apparently, only takes a single HE round from a tank on the hanger to kill whatever plane is inside.

Title: Re: Spotted CYBRO and decided to investigate....

Yes. It is an individual that many people have decided to focus on and blame their mission failures on instead of understanding how the game works. He enjoys sitting on a field therefore he must be ostracized by all those that don't understand why he does it. Many people have decided he absolutely must be a spy and because of that it is alright to heap abuse on him to make themselves feel better. There are people that spend their whole day just flying to where he is just to shoot him while he sits there, even if it means bailing out and walking up as the pilot and shooting him with their 45.
It's a guy that brings out the worst in people.
Take my advice, just let him be, go do your thing while he does his and don't worry about it.

He is an enigma. Some say he is a spy, some say oddball. Essentially he ups a vehicle at a front line base and then... sits. My personal theory is he parks in locations he thinks will get him proxy kills and goes to work/school or does something else. Possibly also to mess with the paranoid.
Basically, unless you're trying to do something that will fail if you encounter the enemy, he has very little effect if any on the game.
Wiley.

I think it's fun trying to find him or at least figure out why a base flashes all day.
In the case of yesterday, I came back after zoney's pathetic attempt to shoot me down with his 262, deacked and ran the troops that took the field.
The flashing went away as his field was within the dar ring of another so simply his spawning a plane would cause the adjacent field to flash.

I respectfully disagree. The object of the game is to kill bad guys.
Au contraire. The object of this game varies from player to player. For some it is to have good fights, win or lose. For others, to maximize kills. Still others want their team to win the map, whether they live or die in the process. Some play for score. Some play for self-improvement. Some, it appears, simply log on to irritate others.

What people choose to do is their preference as you stated. However, it is obvious (from game parameters and maps) that the "object" of the game as it is designed is to simulate WW2 combat (with GV support) in a theater wide conquest of territory. The goal is to win 20% of enemy land/bases while maintaining 90% of your own. How people choose to reach or not reach that goal is a personal matter. Idle vehicles should be booted as well as people flying off the map to avoid being seen or killed.
Back to Cybro. I found him flashing a base once. he was in a spit, inside the hanger with no doors. He must have driven it in there when we bombed the base and destroyed the hanger. (If that hanger is an indestructible, then that is another question) Anyway asumming it is a destructible object, It rebuilt over him after or just prior to us taking the base. Got tired of searching so I filmed a sortie as I flew around and then when to the film viewer to find him. What I am curious about is how does he get these planes into these seeming impossible locations.

The only issue I have with cybro is the impression he is leaving and with that the impressions about HTC.
Sure cybro, to us "old timers" is funny/annoying/baffling or just an odd nut, but to "new" guys he is a "spy" up to no good.
So to a new guy, we have a spy giving away all kinds of information..... carrier locations, mission targets, noe locations, goon locations, the best place to find easy sheep, and who knows what else. Whether its true or not those guys and many potential new customers are going to "believe" that crap and it will cause many player to get frustrated and Im sure many quit (how can you beat then when they are always cheating!).
Which brings us to impressions of HTC. Again, whether this stuff with cybro is true or not many players BELIEVE it is. That belief is the same as aimbots, things to make planes lighter, and any other cheating crap that gets thrown around. They will look at it as "Why doesn't HTC do something about it?"
You know and I know its all BS, but is it the impression HTC want to portray? :headscratch:

A bigger issue is the old guys attacking any newbie with spy/shade accusations. Too many players seems to believe that there can no longer be any new players around so all names they dont recognize must be a spy.. How is the community going to grow if every new player is attacked and not allowed to take part of the action? During my years in the game ive seen at most 2-3 occasions were some kind of foul play could be suspected (but not proven). Ive never seen anyone in any team calling out noe missions or enemy plans in such a way that they could be accused of spying. People just need to call their shrink to deal with their paranoia..

Unfortunate but true, many players are "paranoid" and see "spies" everywhere. It is the way of things, and unfortunately by allowing his type of game play to continue it will do nothing but feed the flames of that paranoia.
Thats where HTC is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

CYBRO is a member of the Cyberman race, sent for unknown but most likely nefarious reasons to observe the activities of Aces High players.
Some say it is in preparation for planetary invasion. Some say it is for abduction and incorporation of humans into the Cyberman collective. Some hint at darker and more-mysterious reasons, possibly involving the Old Ones.

This reminds me of a situation several years ago. I was part of a board for a famous rock band. There was this guy kept on posting on the board making all kinds of personal insinuations/threats against the bass player. I tried to draw them out by responding to his post but he never responded to anyone ever. The fans/board members were becoming very concerned for the safety of the band member. The bands representative contacted us to let the forum members know they were investigating this individual very thoroughly and came to the conclusion he was indeed crazy/deluded but didn't pose an actual threat to the bands bass player. The only similarity between these 2 situations is that he, as far as I know, has never responded to any text. note- I don't believe for an instance he, our player, has ever said anything dangerous/threatening, just amusing funny small talk. I personally find the whole cybro thing another amusing part of our AH.

So Zoney, friend of cybro, is the only human on the planet that knows why cybro does what he does.
I don't know about that. I'm the only one maybe that has said anything about him. It's my guess that he has had private conversations with others that I am not privy to. Maybe it's because I'm nice to people. I try my best to be nice to everyone. I like this game. I like people. I like playing this game with my friends. I never expected any response from him nor did I demand one. Quite frankly, I didn't really care if he did respond, either way I was going to treat him well and make sure that at least one person welcomed him to the game.

when cybro parks in a hanger the bish horde soon follows.
Do you think there may be apossibility, no matter how remote, that he goes to the next base he expects Bish to attack just because that is what he likes to do, as opposed to the "Shade", Spies" accusations bandied about. Maybe he is there to get those Proxy kills as the Bish, in all their splendor, auger one after another.
