Brave guy. His niece is a friend and former colleague of mine. She sent me a copy of his book he was kind enough to sign for me. Godspeed, Colonel. :salute

I think any of the Century Series fighters were testicular enhancing.
Was Thorsness the guy that got kills in the F-105 without a functional gunsight?

Maj. Kenneth Blank accomplished that feat once. He failed to turn it on in the heat of the moment. Thuds apparently were notorious for gunsight issues, regardless.
Thorsness was providing RESCAP for almost an hour for a downed Thud crew and did some amazing things...finally landing at idle--out of gas--after giving his tanker slot up to another jet.

I watched the interview. The intelligence of the man radiated through. He was definitely a warrior. And honorable too. You could tell he was still upset about 'breaking' under torture.
What exactly did he mean when he said "Every generation, or every other generation, has to re-earn freedom"?

It's a reference to something Reagan quoted. Freedom is only a generation or two removed from extinction if we do not actively fight for it.
