pilot sat in his seat at one height typically low behind his armor and lined up with his gunsite and thats how I sit.
How come you re-up everytime you get shot down and killed then?

I'm seeing your wanting to take this to a well you're doing something akin to real life and this isn't territory....Ill short circuit this one for you I think sitting way high in the seat is silly and a little unsporting also I pay 15 dollars to fly how I want. I'll field additional questions now.

Just an inconsistency observation. Joach1m's too short to do this in real life anyway. :rofl

An inconsistency? What would that be I've never sat high in the seat in any of my videos to see over the cowl. Nah I'm 5 10. Also you'll read in accounts and such as folks start to engage that they drop their seats lower and turn on their reflectors.

I read your objection to Joach1m's suggestion on the grounds it was unrealistic / gamey. At the same time the gameplay / ACM decisions I see consistenly in your videos tend not to centre on 'realism'. I do enjoy your videos Vudu but reading between the lines I find you very difficult to interact with as it's unclear if your expectations centre only on receiving positive / supportive feedback. For future reference: does your $15 a month hobby entirely disclude a Kaizen content?

No I expect there are quite a few who don't like the way I do things I do like to interact with folks on my videos. ACM is just a set of patterns tried and tested by someone else which folks take as gospel or the only way to do things, why is this I wonder? And a lot of my success comes from my lack of holding to standard conventions in combat. So the truest reason for not sitting higher in the seat would be that that has been how I've flown since day one and thats my sight picture and I'm not going to change it.

That's unimportant. You always get a bit of that no matter what you do. Just ignore it. Disliking, feedback and preferences are three separate things. In my working domain exhibiting examples of your work automatically assumes and invites critical / constructive feedback. Apologies if that causes offense.

I believe the answer is that an unconventional approach certainly has inherent merit but ONLY IF it also addresses the underlying principals which the conventional method addresses. The latter is a reductive process the product of uncountable man-hours of validation. The former a creative, inventive one. In some domains people find creativity abhorrent. I also favour an unconventional approach - many thousands of unecessary deaths however taught me that.
You could make some alternative choices or apply slightly more sophisticated base-ACM 'patterns' and stay much longer in your fights. If that interests you. Regardless I do find your videos entertaining. Do keep making those :salute
