 You dont win a proper hockey game with a shootout!

   Sudden death overtime until one team scores,even if it takes 3 or 4 overtime periods!  That's how it was always done,then everyone needed a trophy just to show up!

  It was a great game,I just hate seeing it end in a shoot out!

It has been shootouts in international tournaments as long as i can remember, its nothing new.

I gotta gree with Morf on this.  i don't care how they do it now and how old the current tradition is, it's crap.

Imagine if the NBA championship, when it ran out of time, had players shoot free throws to determine the winner or a tied Superbowl had the kicker kick field goals to determine who won.

NFL overtimes are far worse, its mostly about winning the coin toss..

Canada is the team to beat for sure but last 20 years Canada have won 5 times, Czech Republic 5, Sweden 4, Russia 4, Slovakia 1 and Finland 1 time so its a bit more than every now and then  :P
A bit surprising that the US dont have a single gold since 1960. That is kind of impressing...

I live in the wilderness. Near Ontario to be exact. I do not have a TV and such luxuries so I can not watch sporting events.  :old:
