Title: Clipboard map scroll buttons
Post by: oboe on May 29, 2017, 08:28:47 AM
Here's a small idea to streamline the use of clipboard maps in flight.   I find it awkward to select or switch between the maps using the scroll-down selection list on the extension that comes up when you select clipboard maps from the clipboard's context menu.   This extension also blocks a lot of your view while using the maps:

I think it would be a cleaner interface if horizontal scroll buttons were added to allow you to scroll through all your stored clipboard maps by clicking on the buttons.  These semi-transparent scroll buttons become visible when you put the mouse cursor in the map area, and darken to show activation when you put the mouse cursor directly on a button:

The maps scroll through in alphabetic order, so you could customize your own scroll order by manipulating the names of the map files.

The clipboard extension that allows you to add, edit, and delete your clipboard maps could be moved to a new selection under Options, e.g. "Options/Clipboard Maps Setup".

A full screen map option would be even better.

I'm just looking for a way to make selecting between clipboard maps more efficient, and secondarily suggest moving the Add/Edit/Delete functions to an area under a configuration/preferences/settings.  It just seems like that is where those functions belong.

Alternatively, the clipboard maps could be given their own popup context menu, to so you could choose the desired map directly.  Right-click on the current clipboard map brings it up, left-click on a map title in the menu will load it into the clipboard, right-click anywhere outside of the context menu closes it.  Something like that.

2nd one isn't a bad idea, but I would add close and edit (opens existing swing)to the popup.
