Title: Bish 109-K4 escorting Injured B29s home in MA
Post by: Molsman on June 01, 2017, 12:50:35 PM
First of I have to say this night was fun, 3 M163 kills 1 loss b29 and A Big Salute to Lyme for not killing me on the RTB and Reenacting Franz Stigler when he escorted the damaged b-17s. Lyme Also Bailed as we Reached the middle of the Pond and we did not fire at each other during this part of the flight.

Salute Lyme Sir

Molsman

Here are the photos from that flight.

It was just too pretty of a sunset for any killing hehe <S> Molsman, that was good fun.

If you haven't read Franz Stiglers book "A Higher Call" then go to Amazon right now and order it.  It's an all time great, and definitely inspired what transpired between mols and I.

I've got a picture with Franz Stigler...it was at a con from a previous Flight Sim.  Got to hear their story in person, and it was a great experience for sure!

I would have told Lyme to tuck in tighter and then blasted him with my guns.

Reminds me of a time when I got into a fight with a Spitfire and removed part of his wing.  Figured he was going to go down so I broke off but was surprised when the player regained control and started to fly off towards his base, nursing his damaged Spitfire along the way.  I then dove down and flew next to him off his wing all the way to his base, waggled my wings in salute and broke off as he approached his base.  I watched as he lowered his gear to get ready to set his damaged Spitfire down on the tarmac and then maneuvered so I saddled up on his six and as his landing gear was about to touch down, I blasted the crap out of his plane for the kill.  I laughed so hard (as did the other guy), it left my stomach sore for a few days.
