I'm going to revisit the Pärnu Grillfest (http://www.grillfest.ee/eng) next weekend, hoping the weather would be more suitable for a few cold beers than it was last summer. This year we're going to leave our vegetarian teetotaller home for obvious reasons (https://goo.gl/photos/jYNyMfKVegDZ9uCk6).
Should any fellow players visit the event, it would be nice to meat.

Mission accomplished. Lots of meat, beer and quality time with my wife. Sadly no other AH'ers, though. Anyhow, it was a nice holiday trip. As a self employed entrepreneur I'm afraid the next holiday will be a day off for the Vaasa meeting sometime in the fall.
As Arnold would say it, I'm back.

Any vegtables or were they not allowed :old:

On the top picture that's blazed/planked salmon fillets (Lapland Salmon as they called it there). About an arm's length, weighing some 2.5 kg/5 lbs each before as raw, nailed on a plank and slowly roasted in the radiation of an open fire. More on the subject: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indirect_grilling#Plank_cooking (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indirect_grilling#Plank_cooking)
Zack, veggies were served widely. Potatoes fried or baked, broccoli-cauliflower-carrot mix... Someone grilled halved aubergines and whole sweet peppers stuck in skewers, too. But definitely it's not a vegetarian happening.

Yes. Had to read it twice to figure out what you meant. Americanish indeed is a language of multiple ways of spelling! In Estonia they often call it Armenian Shashlik but we also visited a Georgian restaurant there where I had some nice pieces of pork grilled in a skewer. Whichever opinion one may have about Stalin's regime, the way he threw people all around the Soviet Union surely did a favour to the Baltic cuisine.

Nice Pictures !
How close is the Estonian language to the Finnish ?

How close is the Estonian language to the Finnish ?
About 80 kilometers.

Good answer, Pallero!
It's close, but not too close. There's thousands of "risky" words i.e. same words with a different meaning like problem(fi)-wedding (est). Some of the words and expressions I've learned make sense in a twisted way. Think about Swedish and Danish/Icelandic.
I can't take any credit of the pictures, they're from their website.

Danish and Swedish written language are much the same, people from Copenhagen most swedes understand, the longer you get from it the harder it gets.
Icelandic written language is much harder, if you are lucky get get the core out of it, the spoken language are not understandable at all, same go for people from Faroe islands.
Many Icelanders was in Stockholm University in Sweden when I was there.

Now that you say it... I understand written Danish pretty well through the Swedish I had at school but written Icelandic looks a little weird with the extra tailed letters in their alphabet. For spoken Danish, I had a similar experience to this one near Copenhagen, asking for the hotel at a gas station: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13kYJbOa6V8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13kYJbOa6V8).
Then again, it's the same with all languages. Following a newscast is pretty easy but having a conversation in a noisy crowded place can be a nightmare.
