Title: notification of hits
Post by: hulk31st on June 09, 2017, 01:34:16 PM
Can we get notification in the text buffer when we get hits on targets? I have trouble seeing hit sprites when shooting at planes and vehicles.
We get text notifications when we damage buildings with bombs and rockets.
Can we get the same when hitting with bullets?
I often get an assist or even a kill after attacking someone and not seeing any hit sprites.

You would never see an actual message if you got a notice for every hit.

Yes you would.........it would also tell you how hard the hits transferring to the plane.

Just watch any youtube video from "the sim the russians stole".

It gives messages for hits you give and the hits you take.

You can also see how far HTC has improved from it's previous sim.

They use to put your name in lights when you landed 1 kill. Landed kills use to fill the text buffer. Imagine what hit text would do?

Or maybe it could be recorded as a text file that can be accessed after your sortie ends.  So when watching your film, you can compare notes.

I believe TW generated a text file at the end of each sortie that showed the number of hits on your aircraft and the resulting damage. It would be interesting info and I think it was also used a development tool for the damage model.
