Looks like an interesting title. Calling itself the spiritual successor of Microproses Red Storm Rising.
Anyone playing?

I've seen some video's on it, and it looks interesting. They didn't go very graphics heavy in terms of how ships show damage and what-not. I've yet to see a ship get split in half and sink due to torpedo in a video either.
Either way, it looks nice and for me, reminds me a little of Aces of the Deep. :D

After seeing this thread, I decided to pick it up. I am enjoying it, but it is not a serious sub sim. It's very similar to Red Storm Rising with modern graphics and such and earns the title of successor. Good find, thanks!

Cool, the gameplay videos kind of remind me of Janes Fleet Command. I would download but I recently (finally) upgraded SH4 with the Trigger Maru Overhaul Mod. Just waiting now for the right time to start a campaign.

Red Storm Rising was a great book 😀

There are quite a few good mods already out for the game. One is a campaign extender which adds a significant amount of missions to the vanilla campaign. I also play around with the Los Angeles Flight II/III mod, which introduces the VLS and MADCAP Torpedo to the game. That makes it a lot of fun, and not so much of a pita to go get TLAM's when a mission arises.
One tip, don't take too many Harpoons. They are just a guarantee that at least one helo is going to come and drop a bunch of torpedoes on you. They also have naval bombers in the game and they love to drop torpedoes too. Playing the game on the high difficulty levels requires a lot of patience and thought.

Unfortunately the latest 1.04 patch broke mod support.
