Part of moving orphan adoption forward, we have completed the status assignment to all applicable skins.

Skuzzy,

I recall in this Private Skinners Forum thread, http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,362528.0.html (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,362528.0.html) Widewing put his P-38 skins up for adoption.

Time is not available for me to maintain or upgrade my P-38G and P-38J skins. Thus, if someone wishes to adopt these, they are welcome do do so.

Thanks.....

He has one P-38G and one P-38J skin, IIRC.

The orphan system will be automated.  This was he first run.  It will make the skins orphaned when the time comes.

Manually tweaking these things is not, and never has been, a good idea when running a database driven application.

Devil, not sure why you were not added to the private forum, but you are now.

I just mentioned it because I don't know whether he maintains an account any more.  He might, but clearly he wanted his skins put up for adoption.   I think I recall you saying skins become orphaned after the skinners account has been closed for at least a year.

You are added Vraciu.  I guess I need to go and clean that up.

The skin(s) will now, automatically move to orphan status one year after the skinners account has been closed.

Q.  What happens to an orphan skin that no one adopts?   Would continue to stay in game indefinitely, or would you remove it from the game, thus opening the slot for a completely new skin?

On occasion I think about this, and after taking a few more Tylenol, I get back to work until what time I have to think about it again.

I do not have an answer yet.  Thank you for helping Tylenol increase their sales of product.

 :rofl

Just ask the skinners.  I bet they'll have an answer for you.

I could never afford to send HTC a bottle of Scotch in appreciation but I could probably swing a bottle of Tylenol...

a friend of mine was asking me about adopting a specific skin on the G-6 and I told him it would be a better fit on the G-14. Since I highly doubt there's anyway to move the skin, it would be best to let it be removed first and then making my own version of the scheme for the G-14.
