Please rate Big Week.
If you played in it, please rate this scenario by giving it a number in the range of -5 (absolutely hated it), to 0 (could take it or leave it), to +5 (absolutely loved it).

+4, this was the first time I lead a group so I was a bit nervous, but Dantoo was with me and did an awesome job helping me out!!! His suggestions and actual leadership when I discoed and got shot down, and when I felt shakey about my leadership abilities was way above and beyond!!! :salute

DEFINITELY +7 That was some of the best fun I have had in a while. Loved it so much, wish we could get a rematch next month. Sort of a warm up for "The Hardest Day event in August? I owe Rud3boi for killing my whole squadron!!! In like 2 Minutes, seriously! Was frame 4 I know his name is RUDE, but did he have to pick on us? Oh well, probably save some time trying to catch up to the bombers...After we got some good kills :devil All I know, That dab blame guy NEVER misses, at least not for me  :rock

I'm sure I speak for Brooke when I say, why the low numbers? What didn't work for you? (So that we can make sure the next scenario is better and more fun for ya!)
-
I don't consider that a low number. 0 would be average given the scale. If the scale was 1-10 my score would've been a 7.5.

Ah, makes perfect sense then!

Hello, tunes here ...
I was a walk on.
Brooke got me into a great Squad.
Had a great time.

Tunsie, what would you rate it? -5 is hated it. 0 is you could take it or leave it. +5 is loved it.

Howdy, guys.
Folks should rate the scenario however they feel. The scale means -5 = hated it, 0 means take it or leave it, +5 = absolutely loved it.
Just a note on the statistics of it, 0 is not the average of scenarios. If the average of scenarios were zero, there would be no point running them, as folks wouldn't care if they ran or not -- equal preference for them to play in it or skip it. Anything on the + side, though, means that they had fun and liked playing in it (with higher number meaning the more they liked it). Anything on the - side means they didn't like it and would have preferred not to play in it (with larger negative number meaning the more they didn't like it).
I don't say this to change anyone's vote -- just to clarify what the numbers mean.
-
I can think of nothing offhand that would make it better... :noid
It would have been a 7 on a 1-10 scale...kinda like mak...
-
Thanks for clarifying the scale. I'll give it a +3, which still somehow feels lower to me than it really is.
It had:
- great terrain; clouds were wonderful except they were a little hard on my FR. I have graphics settings set pretty high for skinning and forgot to dial them back
- good balance in the planeset
- great leadership and overall organization
- great competitive players and great sports
It lacked:
- player numbers (I think by the last frame there were only 30+ per side)
- limited scope and scale (I know, its a function of low numbers) Just basically a couple of B-17 formation intercepts per frame. Still a good time, but I really think I'd enjoy one where there was more uncertainty.
- the icons seem so easy compared to what I remember of old day scenarios. I miss having to strain eyes to make out dots and the chance of unseen bounces.
Overall very enjoyable, I'll fly it again. Congrats and hearty thanks to the organizers and leadership on both sides, and to the players who participated!

Saturday summer afternoon so you can pick up 3 European players makes no sense.

:headscratch: would you mind elaborating a little bit, regarding your post? I don't understand what you mean by it....
-
I rank this running of the Big Week scenario at a +3
I was discouraged a small bit by the numbers of attendance dropping off after the first 2 frames, especially regarding the 4th frame's low numbers....
Outside of that, this scenario was a hoot to participate in and the planning, missions, organizing and communication (at least on the Allied side of it) was pretty much "top shelf"
The battle/fights with the Axis side was great as well
Thank you to all the Scenario CM's, the CO & XO of both sides and to all the volunteers that stepped up to make this event come to be! and for the fun and entertaining enjoyment that all of you afforded the AH community.... It was and is very much appreciated
:salute &

+3 It was a fun scenario but a bit too many discos..
-
I was only able to fly in 2 frames due to RL plans in June, but I would rate the scenario at a +4.
I had a lot of fun, and the fights were great, but wish we had more players.
I got to fly with some terrific pilots who are usually shooting me down. :aok
I also had a disco, and there seemed to be a lot of warping, but that's not a scenario problem.
Big :salute to the crew who worked hard to arrange this.
-
I'd give it a good 4.75 out of 5. Only thing that would have made it a 5 for me would have been a squad or two of G14s.
Thanks again for helping me be a part of this. I really appreciate it.
:salute

I feel like the event was dragged out a little because everyone was flying at 30k and i personally dont really like fighting all the way up there in such an early war plane. That is pretty much my 2c
-
Stokes are you referring to the Hardest Day, BoB scenario? Big Week was set in early 1944 I think, and was the last scenario before this one.

Ahem............this thread started in June so I'm pretty sure he doesn't want us to rate The Hardest Day.

No, no, he was in that super secret squad of G14s over London.... :P

I agree. Stokes had entered a +1 rating above because "everyone was flying at 30k and i personally don't really like fighting all the way up there in such an early war plane."
So it looked to me like he was rating "The Hardest Day" incorrectly in this thread, which is intended for "Big Week". Just trying to clear up any confusion. A rating thread for "Hardest Day" hasn't been started yet.
-
Yes it was a little confusing. They have not asked to rate hardest day.I
