Title: 602 Squadron Spitfire Mk I

Guppy35 asked me to make this skin for The Hardest Day event. Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for it.

This Spitfire Mk I was flown by Pilot Officer Osgood Hanbury of 602 "City of Glasgow" Squadron during the Battle of Britain and featured a "Popeye the Sailor" nose art on the LH fuselage side.

P/O Hanbury began the war flying the Westland Lysander Army spotter aircraft but transferred to Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain. He scored four kills in this aircraft during the battle and a further seven flying P-40s in the Desert campaign before his death in 1943. He was killed when the Hudson he was a passenger in was shot down over the Bay of Biscay.

Can't thank you enough Greebo.  Always better to fly the right skin in an event.  Now to get Skuzzy to get it in game before August 19th! :)

Nice! I hope it can hold a cooler of beers like the 38 did last scenario.

Wow beautiful skin Greebo, thanks.  Ironically I had asked Guppy to decorate my kite for the scenario with Popeye's better half:
