And I'm asking here because it was originally seen here. It was a formation flight, from the cockpit, with an F-35 as -2. And toward the end of the video, the F-35 goes full power and just climbs away from the formation.
-
Was it flying with a F16?

Perhaps? I can't remember if it was a Thunderbird, and Blue Angel, or a P-51...
-
Is this it?

You're welcome. You hoping for a C model in your future?

Eh, I love the Rhino too much :D I don't think the 35 will even be an option yet when I select.
-
Well good luck! I'm sure the rhino flys better with an engine out than the 35.
-
I'm assuming the "Rhino" is an Echo Model Hornet?
The original rhino was the F-4 among other nicknames.

Better do it soon, I retire in 49 weeks. :)

I might add, you have 4 screens that you manage in the cockpit right now during flight. Soon these will all be incorporated into 1 screen, a touch screen.

How has that gone in testing? Personally, I like the tactile feedback of feeling a button under my finger. It helps me to hit the right "spot" and confirm I've pressed something when I'm looking elsewhere or multi-tasking. Also, fingered gloves v fingerless?
-
You know how many times I have tried to operate a touch screen in a car (as a passenger) and get that untimely jiggle which causes me to hit the wrong spot on the screen?
Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of 4200 pair of mismatched socks!
Dang it!
I can hear it now,...
Co-pilot: "Would you mind holding the plane still while I do this?"
Pilot: "Suuuuuurrrrre".
Give me a button, knob, switch handle to work with any day over a touch screen.
-
That's interesting. It would seem to me logical that the touch screen wouldn't be involved with stuff that needs to be done in a split-second or bad things occur. Still sounds like a point of concern for sure.
Wiley.

I have nothing to do with the testing aspect, but what I've heard is it will send an electrical shock through gloves to let you know it received your input command. :rofl :bolt:
