Title: Hat switch/view snaps?
Post by: Wyatt134 on July 16, 2017, 01:50:06 PM
When i pull back or to the corners of most of my buttons (on my CH throttle and my brand new Logitech 3D pro) it snaps back and forth ive tried going to different buttons and keys but it keeps "flickering" is it an issue with the buttons or the game?  :joystick:

Sounds like a controller issue.  You can check in AH controller setup or in Windows to see if the signal is interrupted.

Check your cable and connections.

Are you using a powered hub?

You can check the same views with the keypad.

Just to be clear, are you saying that when you hold your hatswitch in a position for a view it is as if there is a loose connection and view snaps back and forth with the switch still in the same position?

Hey Wyatt134,

Welcome to AH3!

You mentioned that you have set your views up on both your CH pro throttle and your "new" logitech 3D Pro joystick...did you have your views set on both devices at same time or did you try setting them up individually?

How old is your CH throttle?

Also on the hat switches, was you using the 4 way hat switches or the 8 way hat switches?

The 3D pro is like 3 days old and the CH throttle over 17ish years old they are bound individually not at the same time they are the 8way switch.

Ok, for using the 8 way hats on the CH pro throttle, you are probably experiencing not keeping a solid steady pressure on the pull, which causes the effect sometimes of jumping between the two on either side of the hat switch input you are using.... Also it could possibly be that the CH pro throttle switches are worn.... Depends on the amount of use, but my CH pro throttle is 21+ years old and finally starting to show signs of wear

I have 2 brand new 3D Pro joysticks still in the box, if you want another new one to try, I don't mind sending it to you, free of charge....

BTW, you wouldn't be any kin to a player that played Air Warrior in the 90's that went by Homer, would you? just curious. Homer lived there in Middleburg

I was stationed at NAS Cecilfield back long ago and both my 20+ year old daughters live in Middleburg..

Shoot me a personal message if you want or are interested in a different Logitech 3D Pro joystick.

Hope this helps ( Note: it's been nearly 14 years since I have looked at the switch and buttons layouts on them 3D Pro joysticks, I need to refresh my memory on the layout )

One other recommendation, is to go into control panel/power management and I would set my power options to high performance and then go through the drop down menu and make sure to turn of your USB port/hub power managing, so that you always have constant power to the USB ports

Hope this helps

Are you using CH Control Manager to program the CH throttle and Logitech's Gaming Software to program the 3D Pro?
