Title: Email notification for private messages

For some time now, I haven't gotten any at all. My board profile settings are still the same, and no notifications are showing up in my mail folder either.  :headscratch:

I used to have the same issue a while ago, somehow it got fixed. Can't exactly remember when or how, can't find any correspondence about it. Anyhow, it's not a new invention.

Try disabling the notifications, save and log out. Re-enable them, save and log out. That's how I've fixed some corrupted settings.

Lusche, this is what your ISP's mail server is telling our mail server.

Jul 15 21:27:41 bbs sendmail[25452]: [ID 801593 mail.info] v6G2RcCW025450: to=<xxxxxx@xxxxx>, delay=00:00:03, xdelay=00:00:03, mailer=esmtp, pri=121484, relay=mx-ha02.web.de. [212.227.17.8], dsn=5.0.0, stat=Service unavailable

I removed your email address from the above log entry.  I have a bunch of the above entries for July 15,16, and 17.

Your ISP is the only one who can figure out what the problem is.  There are a number of reasons why a mail server will give that error out.
