I also have a nice B&W of this plane as well.

Let's see what lyric can pull up. :)
-
If you have a decent photo of the original plane then I could skin Beurling's plane for you. However I hate using just a profile or other questionable sources (models, paintings, museum replicas etc) without at least one genuine WW2 photo to back them up.

Not doing so well on this one.

Here's the front - still looking for full body shot of the Vb in Malta (and of course I loaned out my Malta Spitfire: The Diary of an Ace Fighter Pilot and can't remember who) :bhead
This is the air marshal's plane from Beurling's squad - all had the same camo.

Another squadron and with the Malta desert camo.

Another SpitV in the Malta desert camo.

(I think these are the Vc models)

I will admit, most of the V's desert camo colour photos do look washed out.

I have skinned a few desert Spits already so the scheme isn't the problem. What bothers me is that those profiles are probably based on nothing more than log book entries and guesswork.
I have found a partial photo of that aircraft. It is not as good as I'd like but I'll skin it anyway, it shouldn't take long. I'll be back on default skins from next week so if I don't do it now it will be a few weeks until I can.

Had that poster framed on my wall in college. Then it went on my oldest son's wall and now it's on my youngest son's wall. 417 Squadron Spitfire Vbs. Not on Malta by any means.

You might try researching Pintrest there's alot of photos that you find besides what I found not sure if it's accurate the framed Falcon of Malta. https://www.pinterest.co.uk/search/pins/?q=Beurling%27s%20Spitfire%20V%20malta&rs=typed&term_meta[]=Beurling%27s%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=Spitfire%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=V%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=malta%7Ctyped

I have skinned Beurling's Malta Spit V and the later 412 Squadron one that Guppy provided the photo for.
