I reckon it would be great to play some poker in the officers mess using our perk points..!
It's just wishful thinking..
-
Whats to keep people from abusing the game to buy perks from others?
-
Well....
What stops people from doing it in game?
-
With the current system, how can you give me 500 perks?

Uh, not having a poker game to gamble with perk points?
-
Well why not pass em about if you got 1000's..by playing a hand..
It's meant to be a light hearted suggestion..
I'm sure you could find people who have perked farmed off dubious ways in ma etc..but most don't..
Sometimes a chill in the officers mess might be good fun..
Don't take it too seriously.. .I'm not.
-
HiTech will not let people give perk points to other players. people who want to or have to quit game have asked.
-
Luna..chilll ya boots ..grab a whiskey and sit down for a yarn and a game of cards.. .seems like you need it bro..
Let's hang out
-
+1 what other game out there has this cool feature.
playing some cards during down time would have been historically accurate.
If your not down with cards then maybe a game of chess?
if perk points are the issue then just add the poker.
-
Don't forget that sitting in the O'Club still makes you apart of the ENY.
-
+1
also for bruvs chess idea. love chess @ 2100 online rated

They've had the Officers' Mess poker game for years. Just ask Skuzzy for the link.
The great thing is you don't even need perkies since HTC already has your credit card info.
It's a lot of fun, and I think my luck is gonna to change real soon! :D

Kong, you old fart, you know the first rule is to not talk about or acknowledge the OMPG!

Let the house put up a stack of perks and you play essentially video poker against the house. The perks you loose go into the house stack. Maybe limit players to winning several hundred perks and loosing the same amount along with a timer for each 24 hours to limit access to keep players from living in the O'Club playing stud.

I think that is a great idead JimmyC. or maybe add the perk point challenge to the DA? I will never use my perks, as bombers I'm not that patient to use them on b29s, fighters well all I can fly is a yak and I cant get that with high eny, gv perks I only use for tiger 2 but usually loose that in a tree as they get stuck
so +1 Jimmyc

This is just a way around the inability to sell or give perks to other players. It's ripe with unintended consequences.

it would take players out the fight.
We already have object resupply to take people out of the fight.
-
In Tournaments use perk points to bet on pilots, horse racing. :airplane: But then theirs the fact of underage "gambling".
-
I see your B29's and raise you a TigerII

Let'm play cards and bet perks. What harm? And for that matter, why not let people share their perks? I suspect it would make squad play more interesting. I've been in situations in which the squaddies wanted to fly 262s, or Temps and I didn't have the perks to fly.
If you give me 10,000 perks I will terrorize the world for a few weeks with my 262, though eventually I will auger all 10,000. What harm is there in that?
boo
