The movie Dunkirk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-eMt3SrfFU (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-eMt3SrfFU) came out last weekend in the US. Will this bring new Spit and 109 pilots to the game for my Hellcat to shoot down .
If so, how many will fly the Spit I or the Bf-109E-4 or will we have a Spit XVI and Bf-109K-4 invasion? This could be a good problem.
What did you think of the aerial scenes?

Unfortunately, I havent been to see it. Cant get out much in the heat of summer. I did see planes in the trailers though :rofl It very well could send some players in our direction, my only question is...where would they find us? Or even if they ever heard of us? Still hope though :pray

"Will the movie Dunkirk bring new pilots?"
Unlikely, at least in numbers noticeable to the ordinary player.

LOL I kind of thought he was getting off in that area. I just could not resist asking a question which I was sure I knew the answer to.
Keep up the good work! :aok

Well I image someone will say this flying thing is pretty cool and be motivated to find us here at AH3. That's still a win for us. If they're motivated to find us then they'll likely be motivated to stick around and learn the game. Those are the folks I would like to see. The ones who'll love this game like I do. Sorry it was not my intention to make this about attracting mass numbers.
The flying scenes were fun I thought. I was getting a little frustrated by the Spit not leading his target. I felt like several shots were way behind the 109. I was yelling to myself for the Spit to shot and he would wait until it was too late.

If they are motivated they'll find us. Didn't you see "Field of Dreams"? "If you build it, he will come." She is welcome to AH3 too. Perhaps there's some truth in this statement. :cheesy:

I just saw Dunkirk, solid movie over all. More realistic Fighter pilot scenes as far as the general pilot engagements are concerned but not as Sierra Hotel as Red Tia!s (forgiving its historically inacurate Luftwaffe markings and a 262 featuring machine guns over 30 cals… and 2 dementional characters).
More likely a few returning sticks get the lovesicks for the unfriendly skies.
P.S. I love flying 109s so hit me up anytime for a fight, always looking to learn :salute

I just googled "WW2 flight sim" to see what someone would find doing same after returning from the cinema.
On the first two pages, no trace of Aces High. Very first hit was actually recommending Il-2 Sturmovik, Janes WW2 fighters and Microsoft CF2. The other ones were almost all discussions on various forums (reddit & such), where mostly Il-2 and Warthunder were mentioned. Again, not AH, not even in the discussions between aficionados.

Try the same thing at Bing. For some reason, at Yahoo we show up if you put "free" in front of the search.
It is insanely inconsistent from search engine to search engine. It all depends on the word choices used to search with.
Google has never been very friendly to us, no matter what we do.

You can pay Google to get ads up with search results through Google Adwords: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6146252?hl=en&ref_topic=3119071,3181080,3126923,&visit_id=1-636367652462407635-294734709&rd=1 I manage the finances for Logicalincrements.com and we were paying monthly AdWords bills for part of last year, but I see the guys have stopped using it. I can find out more about what they thought if you think it might be useful Skuzzy.

Thats a pretty big problem in current times.
I think a lot of people rely on google for quite a bit these days, whether it be shopping, or just general knowledge.
Might be worth finding out why they arent so friendly.
Is it something to do with search engine optimization?

You have to make a mobile-friendly site to show up on Google as the default page, unless you have no one to compete with for that search result.
