Title: Buffer
Post by: ONTOS on August 04, 2017, 11:26:33 AM
Some of the letters in the buffer are messed up, in that part of a letter has only half showing.

SFMA 2016 map

Some text buffer letters seem to be off by a pixel or two. Makes the look like italics.

Also, there's a single pixel just to the left of center in the view that, on my display anyway, is blue in color.

OK then. How about a screen shot?

This is training arena, DX9 mode.

See the text in the chat window. Some letters are not in the normal font. They are slanted and jagged. They look like italics.

Looks like the bottom text line is set to close to the border.

Looks like the pixels get out of sync at some point. If similar issues were all over the screen I'd vote for V-sync being disabled, but since it's only in the text buffer... Some caching issue? My first thing to try would be to change the font size and then back, sometimes tricks like that work. Right click on the title bar of the text buffer, select "Select Font" and move the slider.

Appears it's not just text buffer. Here's screen shot showing dialog box doing something similar.

I've been noticing and reporting that on ch200 for a week. Others said they got it too. It's not monitor-pixel specific, as I can move my chat window around (which I did to test if my monitor was going nuts) and the distortion goes with that word to wherever I move it.

A square is drawn with 2 triangles. The strangeness is right along the square diagonal line.
I'll take a look at the draw calls of the window. But that may be vid driver related.

This was in the DX9 executable, running a HD 6970 2GB card with (if I recall correctly) ATI 15.2 drivers which are old but the last most-up-to-date version that supports this card.

FYI.
