I just setup my Rift and ran into a problem. I don't know how common it is but here's the solution.
I have a Nvidia 1080 graphics card. When I plugged in the HDMI cable to the video card I got no connection. The software from Oculus would not recognize the connection. I tested the HDMI connection and it was working fine. I had another HDMI connection on my comp and that would not work either.
Googling the problem. I found that if you use a Display Port to HDMI adapter it fixes the problem.
The Oculus tech support was unhelpful and this info was nowhere to be found on their website.
I also found I could not use my already downloaded version of AH with Rift. One must DL the AH app while using your Rift and set it up in the headset. Again no information was provided by the Oculus reps. One must just figure stuff out on ones own. Just use the search function in the Oculus apps screen that comes up.
Getting it to run was a PITA but worth it. I really love the feel of it. I had kind of lost interest in the game but this has rekindled my addiction.

You don't need the Rift version of AH. Both versions work the same with the Rift but the regular version has both a DX9 and DX11 executable. The DX9 executable does not work with the Rift because the Rift requires DX11.

I didn't know that thank you.
I cant get my old mic to work while using the Rift. any suggestions?

You know the rift has a built in Mic of good quality
Just select the rift as your Mic in windows

TY Kanth, again didn't know that!!!! Wish the Oculus people provided some instructions with this.

Don't forget to check the mic selection in AH.
