I am amazed at the amount of time that goes into this game. And when you look at it at least 80% is the time you take to get from take off to destination. 20,000K? And the time between fights kinda makes you relax and get uncompetitive.
But it would be great to get teleported up about 20,000K and a minute or two from an enemy base. This would save hours for those of us who play a lot. Now I know there will be all kinds of complaints with guys saying, you can't do that because YADA YADA YADA!
But it can all be worked out to make it happen...............And no I don't want to go to some arena for that. I just want me and my plane teleported to the fight. I think James Kirk would agree whole hartedly.
WHAT U SAY ?

You are flying a WWII airplane, not the Starship Enterprise. The climb out and flight to the target is part of the experience. How you get into the battle is as much a part of the battle as the guns you shoot.

Ya, and it would still take 80% of game time to get to the fight. With Scotty beaming me over I could have 10-20 fights in an hour instead of 2 or 3. I did I mention bellybutton rash?
Beam me back Scotty Mongoose has been lazered!

I think if you spent some time with a trainer you would find it more bearable to fly 8-10 minutes to get to a fight. Most of us use that time to get our heart rates back down after some great fighting.
Learn to fight better will give you longer times IN the fight as apposed to GETTING to the fight.

I don't remember losing any fights to you Fugitive! You guys need to pay attention now. I fly Mon. - Sun. 1-8 hours a day. I know when the throngs of pilots are on here. What you say applies to when the throngs come out. But 90% of the time there are 20- 40 of us on here. We have to fly and just take in the scenery till we can reach each other. Most the time we tell each other we are coming. So you need to focus on the game on a 24/7 not just your little 3 hours a week.
Let me know when you want to spar!

BBP/kimo you can't even shoot me down how do you expect to shoot down Fugitive-he is a far better pilot than me. hehe

+1 to air spawns for perks
-
-1 WT is for those who cannot handle the burden of having to take off and spend a few minutes to get into a Good fighting position.
-
I'm pretty sure there is an arena with air spawns for quick fights...
-
The 8 minutes to fly to the fight is your time to talk smack on channel 200. :old:
-
If your intent is ONLY to fight other planes, there is a dueling arena with high alt fields.
-
lol- you guys and your dueling arena. I want to save time not waste it.
-
See Rule #4
-
if you haven't figured out how to fly a plane and fight in it by take off time, may I suggest the WW1 arena for you?
-

I do not believe you will get your wish for the Melee' arena. I, for one, would be very disgruntled if my bomb group came under attack from fighter planes that just "beamed" in from orbit.
Yes. The dueling arena. If you dislike these options some of these long time players and trainers present to you, "well..... bye".
-
Yes I can see its a futile effort. But now I know why so many want small maps!

Part of the fun of this game is the ever-changing dynamic that happens minute-to-minute. I can't count how many times I've headed for a target or AF with the right ord and the right plan only to have it go all to hell halfway there. Some light bombs for ord and a few rockets to deack town suddenly turns into a desperate "all ords on the VH" call. Maybe I'm alone in this but part of the fun for me is the challenge of figuring out on the fly "now how am I going to do THAT?" Oh sure, there I times I very much don't like my plan swept out from under me, but if it never did, this would be little more than an arcade style game where every required result only requires one specific action, never changing.
I wouldn't want that. And as for spawns, I'd rather have a "back to base" spawn than an "out in space" spawn.
-
Air Launch for perks from the large unconquerable bases?? I'd take it for buff raids for sure.
-
I'm not sure why you would want to take a simulator and turn it into an arcade game. If you want turn based instant action then try War Thunder. Climbs, cruise, descents, and landings are all part of a mission and you have a chance at failing any phase if you don't plane and execute correctly.
Lastly it would not be fair to the opposition for you to instantly teleport on top of them. It would be an easily abused mechanic.

Also..when would you get the chance to yabbayabba on 200
