Title: The new FM2
Post by: hgtonyvi on August 09, 2017, 09:30:47 PM
The new Fm2 does not have any Accelerometer or G-Meter. Also I notice it feels heavier and does not climb like it use to. Has the flight modeled changed? Please let me know Hitech, TY  :salute

Clipped an LVT and lost a horizontal stabilizer in the new FM2 and the plane started continuously shaking.  Actually seemed "realistic", though I have no idea what a real FM2 would do.  Feature, or glitch?

I notice its easy to get a pilot wound in it also. Anything that got shots on my seemed to give me a pilot wound everything. It might have been just bad luck I guess or not. Also the tail hook lights are not there.

A "New" FM2... most excellent, I patiently await my return to test it.

It seems to be more fragile when ditching with wheels up than I remember.

Yes, I've lost several when ditching around 100mph.  Seems random, sometimes screeching to a stop, sometimes "poof".

I've ditched a lot in the FM2 since the update and I don't think I've blown up doing it... though I do ditch with flaps down at 90mph or less. Maybe that's why I haven't experienced it...

Speaking about ditching. It seems like you cannot ditch in the water anymore.

That would be a bug and should be reported with map name and plane type.

I've ditched the "new" FM2 in the water, but it has to be real slow and touch down very carefully.  It seems much more fragile than say, an F6F.
Typical General Motors product.   :D

3. Fixed a very old issue that could cause PT boats or other objects to fall threw the terrain if they were not on their wheels (I.E. upside down or plane on belly).
This could also be making some planes very hard to ditch in different places.
