Title: VR - haze not shown in left display
Post by: hyzer on August 22, 2017, 08:30:36 PM
The left display does not show atmospheric haze, the right does.  If I bring up the clipboard haze is shown in the left, close the clipboard haze disappears from the left.

Me too. When in VR, and I put the clipboard away, haze goes away for the left eyepiece only.

I see haze in the left screen on Rift but not in the right. When I bring the clipboard up the bright haze in the left screen goes away when the clipboard snaps to position. The right screen doesn't change.

Pics attached. The bright haze looks like short visibility.

That is the exact same problem I'm having Hitech - left eye has no haze visible when clipboard is put away in flight. After a while, I get a headache so I just leave my clipboard up and put it down to my lap while flying.

Weird! I dont have that problem. I play with reflections off, I can run with them on, just have them off so as not to frame loss around ports and extreme traffic. If I am correct, Nvidia card settings are port specific with the rift(not sure if other brands work like that or not)? Meaning set it up THEN plug HDMI of rift into the slot you just set up using monitor? So my Nvidia settings shouldnt effect the mirror image on desk top. Has to be a setting some where?

I couldnt replicate it, not even a hint. Started tothink it could be a Detail slider(tree, terrain, ect). Tried with a few of the default settings for my rig and then adjusted from there in several combinations. Not even a flicker when adjusting the check box options either. That is just weird enough to keep me awake. I am stumped.  :headscratch:

I have a 1080 TI and have this problem, my squad mate has a 1080 Founders edition and does not have the issue.  Hope this helps.

Turning off your hud text should fix it until the next patch.
