Title: Freetrack and "head snap"
Post by: rosscoc187 on August 25, 2017, 11:58:28 AM
Hi all.  :cheesy:
i am having problems with my trackhat clip and freetrack 2.0 after installling aces high on my new PC. The problem is that when i turn my head, for example, 45 degrees right, the internal camera "snaps" the head position over to the right aswell as if i was using a hat swtich. This is anoying because the head position is snapping about all the time as i look around the sky.
Is there anyway to disable this? i would like my head position to move but only when i move it e.g. tilt head to the right. not when i rotate it to the right. I previously had AH3 installed on my laptop with the same setup and this was not a problem.
Can anyone help?

Thanks  :aok
Ross

Try setting views to pan instead of snap!  Clipboard map, preferences, views.

Doh! F8 works if you uncheck Default to Instant View in View options.   :bhead

You can disable snap views, which will change to pan view then, but you would have to do it each time you start the game.

Turn on the information panel (Ctrl-I).  It will show you what mode you are in, along with other information.

By default, it is set to "DM SNAP".  If you press the F8 key, it will change to "DM PAN".  You can press the F1 key to toggle back to "DM SNAP".

Have you tried enabling "Start in Mouse Look"?

I am not sure how freetrack works so I am just taking a guess here.

Thank you.....I thought I was loosing my mind when the player said he couldnt find it!  I dont have a copy of the game on my main computer a laptop so I couldnt check but I was sure that's where you changed the setting.
