So I have been hanging around here for the last couple of months and have seen some things I thought I would never see.
Tank Museum at Bovine ton
T.E. Lawrence's Grave
The Victory
Fleet Air Arm Museum (no ropes around most planes...hugged a Griffon Seafire and a Seafury).
Science Museum, I was shocked to discover that the Schneider Trophy and the Schneider Trophy winning S6B were there.
R.J. Mitchell's Grave
Imperial War Museum
Tons of other spots that have nothing to do with war.
Walked to Lands End.
Beautiful country, lousy weather, great food. Shame I could not link up with some of my old squaddies. When I get back to the states I'll see about throwing some pics up.

I'll look for them. Awesome!

If in London, don't forget: Greenwich Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum, Picadilly Circus, St. Paul Cathederal, and the Churchill War Room.

Don't forget the Sherlock Holmes tour at the Sherlock Holmes museum. Located at 221B Baker Street, and oddly enough 221B is located on Baker Street between 237 and 241.

should have said when you saw victory i could have come across the harbour and bought you a pint.

England is awesome.

I haven't been there yet, so I'm not convinced it really exists! :noid

If you're still around the London area try the Royal Air Force museum.

Baker Street wasn't long enough for a 221 when the stories were written.
England's food is varied and mysterious. Obviously have a bloody good curry (recommend a Biryani, Balti and maybe a Chicken Tikka Massala (the last two are British inventions)) and as many meat pies as possible. Get fish and chips but have Haddock, not Cod. Try and encourage a native to cook you a Sunday roast. Get a high-end Ploughman's Lunch in a decent-looking pub. It's not what Ploughmen used to eat but worth it. Try Cheshire cheese and blue stilton. Obviously at least one full English with black pudding (and not baked beans!). Others will have to advise you on incoholic beverages
Remember in England a f-a-g (language filter, lolz) is a cigarette and a fanny is not a bottom. Saved you some trouble there.
Definately make the trip to the RAF museum in Hendon - you can spend a day there easily and it's free to get in. Some unique examples of aircraft still there. Beautiful silver Spit9 hanging on the wall the minute you walk in. Let's you know what you're in for.
Too bad I can't meet you my friend. I'm also on the continent now. Enjoy yourself. :salute

I loved London while I was there - I have got to get back over there.
