Title: Long time player here. Game wants me to dl new patch. DL is 1637.30 Meg ?? help

I downloaded the new patch and flew in MA yesterday.  Now I try to fly online and game is requiring me to dl:

File temp/ACEHIGHIII.EXE
File Length  1637.30 Meg

which for me will take 82 minutes.

I notice when I flew Offline it shows my current version of:  Version 3.01 Patch 3

What is going on here?  Do I have to DL well over a gig of game again?

The latest version is 3.02 patch 9 so you're quite a bit behind.

If my memory serves me right, the patches will come one at a time, so it would take quite a long time to run all the updates in a row. Downloading the latest version of the entire game would be more efficient and it looks like that's what you're being offered. However, since your connections are slow, you might want to download it using another computer with faster connections on a USB stick and install from there.

When you are that far behind, the game is going to do a full installation instead of trying to download patches as that will be larger than the single game install.
