Title: Skin Upload Error / Question
Post by: Vraciu on September 16, 2017, 04:50:31 PM
Skuzzy,

When submitting updated files (or new ones) do the bitmaps have to match the sizes shown?  I was under the impression they could be smaller in terms of width or height but I got the following error:

File upload bit count, type, or pixel size: Failed Verification
reference1img.jpg is smaller than the default allowed pixel size width (1024).
reference2img.jpg is smaller than the default allowed pixel size height (1024).

Second attempt:

File upload bit count, type, or pixel size: Failed Verification
reference2img.jpg is larger than the maximum allowed pixel size width (1024).
reference2img.jpg is smaller than the default allowed pixel size height (1024).

So it has to be 1024 x 1024 and cannot be 1024 x 800 or something like that?

 :salute

Correct. It has to be be between the min and max in both X and Y axis.

It's a pain in the arse having to add blank space to a profile just to get over the minimum height.

But it doesn't have to be symmetrical, just between the parameters?   I see what I screwed up (I think).   It went through.  I just pasted everything to a 1024 x 1024 background.

That should have worked if the file format was correct. 1024x1024 is the largest size and 512x512 the smallest. So a 512x1024 should work, in theory. Must be a Jpeg in any case.

I thought I fixed that?  I'll check again.

Yes, the sizes must be between the min and max.

You may have.  It's possible I was out of limits somewhere and didn't catch it.
